Deputy Executive Director – Strategy & Policy

Position Summary

The Deputy Executive Director for Strategy & Policy provides strategic direction for CDRI’s research-policy engagement, institutional partnerships, and overall impact.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and secure research funding opportunities, and manage research grants to ensure compliance, timely reporting, and effective use of resources.
  • Develop and strengthen strategic collaborations with national, regional, and international partners to support institutional goals and broaden impact.
  • Expand and maintain collaborative relationships with partners at the national, regional, and global levels to enhance institutional engagement and visibility.
  • Oversee institutional performance monitoring and impact assessment.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Master’s or PhD in Public Policy, International Development, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in policy research, strategy, or international development.
  • Strong network in government, academia, and development agencies.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
 
 

Director of Research

Position Summary

The Director for Research provides consistent technical backstopping to researchers and team from design to analysis and publication, ensuring high-quality, policy-relevant research outputs and analysis outlined in CDRI's strategy. The director of research also plays important roles in mentorship to junior researchers and contributes to developing capacity of Cambodia's future research leaders.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on research design, data analysis, review processes, ethical standards and methodological rigor.
  • Enhance high-quality publications in CDRI’s series and in international journals.
  • Enhance researcher’s skills through structured, hands-on mentorship, and professional development programs.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • PhD in Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in research leadership, with a strong publication record.
  • Experience in mentorship and coaching.
