The Deputy Chief Executive Officer is responsible for leading and overseeing rubber plantation operations, planting, project expansion and rubber commercialization activities to achieve the company’s short-term and long-term objectives in sustainable farming productivity, cost efficiency, environmental and social impact (ESI), and operational governance. The position supports and assists the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in designing, reviewing, and updating rubber production policies, production quality guideline matrices, SOPs, and KPIs, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant rubber plantation operations aligned with approved management decisions and business plan. The role provides leadership and coordination across multi-level operational teams, including operation managers, village chiefs, team leaders, and supervisors, ensuring high performance, transparency, zero tolerance for corruption, and strict adherence to agreed SOPs and KPIs to achieve targeted productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Strategic & Policy Support
- Support the CEO in developing, updating and implementing the rubber production and commercialization policies.
- Review and improve production quality guidelines, SOPs, and KPI frameworks.
- Contribute to annual and medium-term rubber production planning and budgeting.
- Plantation Operations Management
- Oversee daily rubber plantation operations, including tapping systems, tapping intensity, stimulation programs, fertilizer application, and tree health management.
- Ensure rubber productivity targets (yield, DRC, Sick rate, survival rate) are achieved as approved.
- Monitor and control operational costs, including labor, inputs, and field operations.
- Identify and address operational risks such as tapping dryness, panel damage, and labor inefficiencies.
- Rubber Commercialization & Value Chain
- Oversee rubber quality management from field to buyer (latex/coagulum handling, grading, collection, and transport).
- Reduce losses, improve traceability, and ensure compliance with buyer quality requirements.
- Coordinate with commercial teams to support buyer engagement, delivery schedules, and price realization.
- Environmental & Social Impact (ESI)
- Ensure plantation operations comply with environmental, social, and safety standards.
- Promote safe agrochemical use, soil and water conservation, and worker safety practices.
- Support ESI, ESG, and regulatory compliance as required by management.
- Leadership, Governance & Integrity
- Lead and supervise Operation Managers, Village Chiefs, Team Leaders, and Supervisors.
- Enforce transparency, data accuracy, and zero tolerance for corruption or misconduct.
- Ensure SOP and KPI compliance across all operational levels.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor operational performance against approved KPIs.
- Conduct regular field inspections and performance reviews.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports to the CEO.
- English - Fluent
- Bachelor's Degree in or higher in Agronomy, Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agro-Industry, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Formal training or certification in rubber plantation management is an advantage.
- Continuous professional development in rubber production, commercialization, or sustainability is preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in rubber plantation operations.
- At least 3–5 years in a senior supervisory or management role (Operation Manager/ Senior Agronomist).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multi-level operational teams (operation managers, village chiefs, supervisors, team leaders).
- Strong skills in: Performance management and KPI monitoring, problem-solving and decision-making, team coaching and capacity building and ability to enforce discipline, accountability, and SOP compliance.
- Strong understanding of: Rubber production economics, cost per hectare and cost per kg DR Productivity optimization and ROI improvement.
- Experience in: Budget planning and cost control, operational efficiency improvement and data-driven performance analysis.
- Proficiency in English (working level) is preferred.
- Ability to use basic computer tools (Excel, Word, reporting systems).
- Experience with MIS or digital plantation management tools is an advantage.
