Start date: 01 December 2025

Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday - 8am -5pm with occasional weekend work

Job Description

The Creative Media Officer will support the school’s communications efforts by producing high- quality photography, videography, video editing, and graphic design materials. This role ensures engaging and professional multimedia content that reflects and strengthens the school’s brand identity. We expect the Creative Media Officer to be a good role model and adhere to the Academy’s values, which are: Integrity, Stewardship, Determination, Ingenuity, Optimism, and Appreciation.The Creative Media Officer will work closely with, and under the guidance of, the Communications & Media Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Photography & Videography
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of school events, student activities, and daily life on campus.
  • Provide professional event photography and videography coverage, ensuring all key moments are well documented.
  • Edit and produce engaging video content for promotional campaigns, social media, and internal communications.
  • Ensure professional visual storytelling through well-composed shots and polished editing.
  • Graphic Design & Visual Content Creation
  • Design posters, banners, infographics, and promotional materials for digital and print.
  • Develop templates and layouts that maintain consistency with the school’s branding.
  • Support the creation of visuals for social media posts, newsletters, and other communication channels.
  • Multimedia Production & Technical Support
  • Organize, catalogue, and maintain a digital library of photos, videos, and design assets.
  • Optimize multimedia files for different platforms and formats.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in design, photography, and multimedia production.
  • Social Media & Digital Content Assistance
  • Assist with social media boosting of visual content (primarily on Facebook), ensuring timely and engaging updates.
  • Work closely with the Communications & Media Manager, who will oversee messaging, strategy, and engagement.
  • Contribute creative ideas to boost engagement and assist in monitoring and reporting on social media performance.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
  • Strong skills in photography and videography, including camera operation, lighting, and editing.
  • Experience in graphic design for both digital and print media.
  • Knowledge of color theory, typography, and layout principles.
Soft Skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in visual storytelling.
