Country Programme Manager

- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall management for Danmission’s country programme and staff in a designated area in Southeast Asia, facilitating strong, trust-based partnerships with a focus on local ownership, sustainability, capacity development, and close cooperation with regional stakeholders.
- Lead and contribute to fundraising efforts, including engagement with institutional donors such as Danida, EU, and others.
- Lead the team in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- As part of the Regional Office Management team you will
- Manage a small regional team at a representation office fostering a collaborative and values-driven work environment.
- Strengthen strategic direction, support long-term planning, and ensure programme alignment with Danmission’s global strategy to develop and implement the specific country programme as part of the regional approach in Asia.
- Co-develop and initiate new programmes and projects together with partners, in collaboration with the technical advisors and the finance team in Denmark.
- Ensure strategic coherence and contextual rootedness of Danmission’s work in the designated area, including the Danmission standards related to HRBA and equal treatment.

- Professional Competences:
- Experience working in complex or fragile contexts, with a deep understanding of political, social, and cultural dynamics. Proficiency in programme management, MEL, HRBA, and financial management.
- Ability to work with communities and grassroots groups.
- Proficient in English for international reporting standards.
- Personal Competences:
- Strong leadership and management skills related to international development projects.
- A pragmatic, flexible, and structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to create supportive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
