Cost Controller

Position Summary

Report: OPERATION MANAGER

Based at: NEWREST KAS CO., LTD

Working location: Techo International Airport.

JOB PURPOSE:

To administer, control and develop the accounting function of the accounting system andexercise complete control over income. As a cost controller, your job dutiesinclude verifying costs with vendors and suppliers, estimating expenditures, and recommending cost-saving measures to the management.

Work Related Circumstances

Flexible and able and willing to work extra hours and weekends, public holidays and evenings when required to meet seasonal, event and visitor demands. Living within reasonable travelling distance to the office in Phnom Penh.

Physical/Health Requirements

Must be able to access all sites, including remote sites in Cambodia.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monthly Sales Forecast: Maintain up-to-date monthly sales forecasts for each restaurant.
  • Sales Follow-Up: Follow up on sales data from area managers and the sales team, reporting findings to the OM.
  • Food Cost Analysis:
  • Analyze and compare food costs against area manager.
  • Reports and also developing COS Matrix (food cost analysis for new projects), including sales, cost, operating expenses (OPEX), and unit profit.
  • Food Cost Monitoring: Monitor and review food cost consumption based on purchases and inventory closings, identifying discrepancies or errors.
  • Cost Transfers and allocations: Cross checking documentation for cost transfers and allocations between sites.
  • Project Meetings: Participate in weekly project meetings and discussions to ensure project expenditures are within budget and to address cost-related issues.
  • Invoice Listing: Compile detailed invoice listings for area managers to review during report closing deadlines.
  • Inventory Management: Perform inventory spot checks and investigate issues across all sites.
  • Year-End Inventory Closing: Assist the finance team with year-end inventory closing procedures.
  • Invoice and Supplier Statement Review: Review and reconcile missing bills against supplier statements and coordination discrepancy of expense’s invoices between operation, purchasing and finance.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordination: Coordinate the company’s CSR reports, particularly related to food wastage, and follow up on feedback from each site.
  • Contract review assistance: assist the OM, area manager reviewing contracts, vouchers and others event food cost arrangement.
  • Monitoring: verify sales, costs and monitoring of all snack product.
  • Concept design: develop new menu and promotion for gathering more sales.
  • Market visits: Quarterly market checks to find products and list available new products to sites with forecasting stock to order.
  • WINREST:
  • System Implementation: Develop guidelines and procedures for all users and their duties. Responsible on training to the staff in term of implementation of the new features on Winrest system and Winrest mobile.
  • System Setup Assistance: Responsible for new project set-up and system flow development. Collaborate with the Business Development Manager, area managers, finance teams, and purchasing to set up new systems, including Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Problematic assistance: Coordinate the internal team to deal with the problem that the user faces during the implementation of the system and liaise with HQ for bug fixes.
  • System Setup Assistance: Coordination of the construction between Winrest and CEGID and the handling of the problem between these two systems as soon as the problem occurs.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Education level: BA/MBA related skills a must
  • Having at least 3 years minimum
  • Demonstrated experience in the F&B or Hospitality sector is a plus.
  • Tools: Microsoft Pack Office, excel and system.
  • Must be Cambodian, Fluent in KHMER (written and spoken).
  • Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken), Chinese and French languge is a plus.
  • Leadership skills and working as a group.
 
 

Area Manager

Position Summary

Reports to: Asst. Operation Manager/OM/

Based at: NEWREST RETAIL/NEWREST KAS

Working Location: Techo Takhmao International Airport

JOB PURPOSE:

Area manager assist Asst. OM and OM oversees the daily running of the operation for the activities of Newrest KAS. Reporting and controlling the procedure of operation such as customer service, quality of food and product daily sell, hygiene, cleaning, maintenance and general administration are completed in place according to company policy.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Responsible & solving for the daily running of the operation many restaurant.
  • Be the main interlocutor between Operations, supervisor & operation manager, and all support business of retail.
  • Supervising all operations teams all restaurants in airport.
  • Supervise Conduct reviewing and upgrading all policy on operation, quality of service and food, constantly review and have in place control systems for cost control management of all budgets for the operations department.
  • Ensure the cost effective, monitoring efficiency and waste through metrics
  • Follow company guidelines for ordering, inventory and budget management, food cost and work closely with chef to create new products.
  • Overview on site activities such as:
  • Check quality control & stock update
  • Check & follow QHSE rules such as: Hygiene, cleanness & tiding standards and oversee corrective actions.
  • Check maintenance & equipment (follow up supervisor work).
  • Relationship & keep contact with others department such HR department to solve all concern problems related to staff.
  • Report to OM daily basic
  • Other duties as and when assigned by OM
  • Managed 5 store up to 10 store land side/Either Air side
  • Oversee both front and back of house operations
  • Develop strategies for improving our customers’ dining experience
  • Development the food court concept repeat changing new concept every 6-12 months.
  • Work with staff to project future needs for kitchen supplies, goods, and cleaning products.
  • Identify methods our restaurant can use to cut waste, decrease costs, and improve profits
  • Report for work in time in proper uniform and well groomed
  • Report to Executive chef and working with them on new creative menu and creative design, study on cost and recipes.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Previous Experience as MANAGER, operation executive in F&B Industrial environment 3 years minimum.
  • Experiences in using Stock Management IT system.
  • Adaptability and desire to grow and to continue to learn in an International Group.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellence Knowledge of Hygiene & Quality training.
  • Good communication skill
  • Cashier spot check and observation
  • Problem solving for customer complaint
  • Time skills and timeline frame.
  • Design and Menu creative design.
