Scope of Work
The consultant will work closely with National Project Leader and under the management of the National Project Manager to implement the project activities on timeline and reach the target objectives effectively under technical advice of the UN-Habitat team in close coordination with other staffs and consultants involved in the project while coordinating and communicating with relevant stakeholders involved in the project.
Objective of Assignment
The main objectives of this assignment are enhanced resilient capacity of vulnerable communities and destroyed mangrove ecosystems to improve mangrove ecosystem resilience.

Duration of Work
Working closely with the Team Leader and under the management of the National Project Manager, and technical advice of UN-Habitat team. The Consultant report to Project Manager of MoE.
Duty Station
The consultant will be working at the Ministry of Environment, subject to travel to provinces.
Bidder Eligibility
- Education:
- Minimum Bachelor level degree in environmental sector, ecosystem, environment, and natural/marine resource management related to mangrove forests and natural resources, livelihood diversification, and climate change adaptation, or a related discipline.
- Experience and skills:
- A minimum of 5 years for specific experience in project and programme related to mangrove management, protected areas, costal ecosystem and natural resources; livelihood diversification, and climate change adaptation or a related discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in assigned consultancy of similar assignments;
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies in environmental assessment and mapping;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the consultant to assess complex environmental data and draw meaningful conclusions;
- Substantial experiences with the coastal/marine habitat management are extra advantages;
- A commitment to environmental sustainability and a passion for mangrove conservation;
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with team members and stakeholders to enhance; collaboration and project success;
- Good communication and writing skills;
- Good experience in multi-stakeholder coordination;
- Perform any additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager and the National Team Leader.
- Language Requirements:
- Excellent command of Khmer and English (both spoken and written)
