United World Schools (UWS) Cambodia works to improve access to quality education for children in remote and underserved communities. Through its interventions, UWS supports teacher training, school construction, and the provision of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities while strengthening community participation and ownership in education.

UWS Cambodia seeks to engage a qualified consultant to produce a short impact video that highlights the transformative impact of UWS’s support on communities, focusing on sustainability, community participation, and long-term outcomes of education initiatives.

Summary

Objective

The objective of this assignment is to produce a short impact video showcasing the impact of UWS Cambodia’s interventions, with a specific focus on community transformation, sustainability, and real-life stories demonstrating long-term change.

The film aims to inspire audiences by demonstrating UWS’s work in some of the most remote areas, helping disconnected communities access education and highlighting long-term impact aligned with UWS’s strategic vision.

Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for the following:

  • Conceptualizing and producing a short impact video highlighting UWS Cambodia’s work.
  • Developing a storyline that demonstrates community transformation resulting from UWS support.
  • Conducting field visits for filming and interviews.
  • Capturing real community stories that illustrate impact, transformation, and sustainability.
  • Editing the video, including sound design, graphics (if applicable), and subtitles.
  • Delivering both a full-length and a short social media–adapted version of the video.

Key Requirements for the Video

  • Full version maximum duration: 3 minutes.
  • Subtitles in both Khmer and English.
  • Strong focus on impact, transformation, and sustainability.
  • Use of authentic community stories and testimonies.
  • Narrative aligned with UWS’s long-term strategic direction (ZEP 2030).
  • A shorter cut (30–40 seconds) adapted for social media use, particularly for LinkedIn and similar digital platforms.

Timeline

  • Project completion: March–April 2026.

Reporting and Coordination

The consultant will work closely with UWS Cambodia’s Communications team and report to the designated focal person. All deliverables will be subject to review and approval by UWS Cambodia.

Eligibility

  • Proven experience in video production, documentary storytelling, or impact storytelling.
  • Demonstrated experience working with development or non-governmental organizations is preferred.
  • Strong skills in filming, editing, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work in remote locations.
  • Capacity to produce bilingual subtitles (Khmer and English) or collaborate with translators.
