Position Summary

Overall Objective: Develop National Guidelines and Assessment tool for Identifying, recognizing, and strengthening “Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures” (OECMs) in Cambodia

Specific Taks:

  • Conduct a legal and policy review to examine the national legal, policy, strategy, and regulatory framework relevant to OECMs in Cambodia
  • Conduct an institutional analysis to map the roles and responsibilities of relevant institutions/stakeholders concerning OECMs
  • Conduct spatial mapping of current institutional land governance arrangements that could be considered as potential OECMs in Cambodia
  • Conduct costing analysis of OECMs
  • Develop national criteria, principles, and procedures for OECMs
  • Develop supporting tools, forms, and templates for screening, assessing, monitoring, and reporting of OECMs in the Cambodian context
  • Develop main document of the “National Guideline and Assessment Tool for Identifying, Recognizing, and Strengthening  OECMs in Cambodia”
  • Develop a complementary synthesis and policy alignment report
  • Prepare a 2-page brief and a presentation of the final outcome and other materials and facilitate consultations meetings
