Announcement Description

Morodok Organization (Morodok) is a Cambodian Civil Society Organization (CSO) dedicated to improving living conditions, strengthening solidarity, and fostering ownership among coastal communities. The project, "Greater Mekong Program: Leading the Change", funded by WWF, operates from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2025, focusing on Sre Ambel and Kampong Seila districts in Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk provinces. It supports 3 Community Protected Areas (CPAs) and 2 Community Forests (CFs): Chrouy Svay, Preang Chamkar Kraom, Phnom Tob Cheang, Neak Ta Thma Pring, and Samaki Preak Chik. The project aims to strengthen CBO institutional and technical capacity for sustainable Natural Resource Management (NREM), inclusive conservation, human rights-based approaches, and implementation of management plans. It also focuses on improving good and equitable NREM, utilizing civic space, enhancing human well-being through government authority engagement, networking, and representative voice. Furthermore, it empowers local community people, especially women, youth, and marginalized groups, to engage in sustainable NREM, claim rights to harvest Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs), and improve technical production capacity for better household income and food security. The project also aims to enhance duty bearers' capacity for sustainable governance of NREM, implement laws, policies, and regulations, and provide inclusive participation for CSOs, communities, and rights-holders in decision-making processes.
