Founded in 2005, Journeys Within Our Community (JWOC) is a non-profit organization based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. JWOC’s current mission is to work in partnership with Cambodian youth to fulfill their potential in education, employment and sustainable development of their society. We are looking for a dynamic team player who would like to join us with the position as Computer Instructor to share his/her passion and skills to empower youth.

Computer Instructor

Position Summary

Start date: As soon as possible

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday (day off on Friday-Saturday)

Eligibility: Youth are encouraged

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Teach/facilitate the computer lessons to mainly adult students
  • Contribute in curriculum development for the computer classes
  • Support in student’s recruitment
  • Maintain IT equipment and report to the management team
  • Other task assigned by the management team
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Experience in teaching basic computer skills in MS Office and Internet and or Computer programming is preference
  • Knowledge or experience in maintaining IT equipment and or computer network
  • Bachelor degree in the field of IT and or equivalent or confident in technology
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Strong leadership skill, passionate about teaching and eager to learn new things
  • Willing to work in a team that value quality and open for ideas
  • Able to work on weekends and take days off on the weekdays
