Caritas Cambodia, an international non-governmental organization working in eleven provinces of Cambodia aspires to build the capacity of professionals to offer quality care to children with special needs in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Royal Government of Cambodia. The Center for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (Caritas-CCAMH), a unit of Caritas Cambodia, seeks qualified and suitable candidates to fulfill position below:

Community Health Nurse (1 Position)

Position Summary

Work Place: At Caritas-CCAMH, Chey Chumneas Referral Hospital (CCRH), Takhmau, Kandal province and at Kompong Cham & Tboung Khmum provinces.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Make field visits to implement community based inclusive child development program.
  • Meet with people in the villages to promote early childhood development and community-based child and adolescent mental health related activities.
  • Conduct surveys to assess needs and monitor the impact of community program.
  • Assist in health check-up at community.
  • Organize the referral program to Caritas-CCAMH and counsel families in the community for appropriate place for help, when in need.
  • Keep home-based activities data record to be shared with parents/ volunteers for child development and provide strategies for further improvement.
  • Liaise and coordinate between the community, health center and CCAMH team
  • Attend the provincial level monthly Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • University degree in nursing, mid-wife, or social worker. Social workers/psychologists with experience of working with children may also apply.
  • A minimum of two years of work experience in the relevant field of maternal and child care.
  • Good computer skills for data entry, analysis and report writing
  • Willingness to work in villages and high commitment
  • Networking coordination skills between the community, health center and CCAMH team
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken) in Khmer and English
  • Commitment to work for a period of three years and motivated to learn on the job*
