Communications Event Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Assistant to CCO and Senior Communications Officer

Job Purpose
The Communications Event Coordinator plays a key supporting role within the CCO Office, assisting with communications, public relations, and event coordination. This role contributes to internal and external engagement efforts, supports the execution of events, and helps ensure timely and well-prepared communications. The role is well-suited for candidates with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn across multiple communications functions.
- Communications Support and Administration
- Conduct research and assist with briefing book preparation for meetings and events.
- Help draft talking points, basic statements, and simple Q&A briefs.
- Assist with creating presentations, agendas, and translation of communications content.
- Monitor Chinese-language media in Cambodia and translate relevant content into English.
- Help prepare and distribute press content, articles, and internal comms materials.
- Coordinate with teams to gather information for communication updates.
- Use digital tools (e.g., Canva, Google Suite, ChatGPT) to support content and reporting.
- Event Planning and Support
- Assist in organizing internal and external events, such as launches and forums.
- Coordinate logistics including venue setup, catering, guest management, and protocol.
- Support basic budget tracking and post-event reporting.
- Stakeholder and Local Media Coordination
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support meeting arrangements.
- Maintain updated contact lists for Government, Embassies, and Chambers.
- Draft and localize Khmer letters with supervision to support stakeholder outreach.
- Provide support on cross-team inputs for campaigns or events linked to the CCO Office.
- Reporting and Insights
- Track and summarize key media coverage and event outcomes.
- Support basic analysis of PR and event impact.
- Help compile internal reports with key takeaways.
- Ad-Hoc Projects
- Assist with other assigned tasks related to communications and event functions
- Education & Certification:
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
- Additional certifications or short courses in writing, event planning, or media handling are an advantage.
- Experience & Skills:
- At least 2 years of working experience, with minimum 1 year in a communicationsrelated role.
- Strong writing, organization, and coordination skills.
- Ability to support senior-level events and communications work under supervision.
- Familiarity with basic event logistics, stakeholder engagement, and protocol.
- Comfortable using digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Canva, Google Suite, ChatGPT).
- Good command of Khmer and English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.

Job Purpose
Main task is to assist Comms Manager to design visuals, conceptualize video ideas, facilitate creative team resources, propose and present ideas that are fitting to the need of the company, ensuring marketing deliverables are executed smoothly.
- Content Development
- Write and polish video script content for PHG local socmed platform.
- Accurately review Khmer translations, and press releases as required with minimal error.
- Review visuals developed by designer and revise before deadline.
- Able to design and generate simple visuals
- Weekly WIP Report and Post-Event Reporting
- Write meeting recaps accurately and clearly within 24 hours after every internal or external meetings.
- Updating of weekly WIP minute to Direct Supervisor.
- Post-event report – detailed report of what went well, what did not go well.
- Vendor and Resources Management
- Manage internal resources and ensures efficient allocation of production resources.
- Requesting for production job forms to be completed by external parties.
- Digesting the request from external team information before sharing to internal team to execute.
- Tracking of monthly production items and update into tracking sheet Blue project management app.
- Follow-up with production team finished product soonest to ensure no deadlines are not missed.
- Ensure clear communication with other departments.
- For each events, provide extensive research, evaluate, and liaison with different vendors (e.g. catering, decorators, performers) and conduct negotiations.
- Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, and/ or a relevant field.
- Experiences & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in Media, Event Agency company, or any relevant industry.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee complex event operations, including venue selection, vendor management, and logistics planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate vendor options and negotiate favorable terms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in preparing post-event reports and performance analyses.
- Adaptable and able to handle additional responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing unique sponsorship and event concepts.
- Thorough understanding of marketing principles, trends, and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and cross-functionally.
