The Wildlife Conservation Society, founded in 1895, has the clear mission to save wildlife and wild places across the globe. WCS's goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 16 priority regions, home to more than 50% of the world's biodiversity. We currently manage about 500 conservation projects in more than 60 countries.

WCS has been working in partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia since 1999, providing technical advice and support for the conservation of key habitats and species across the country.

The WCS Cambodia program is growing rapidly! We are expanding our team and are looking for applications from qualified candidates to fill the following position. Detailed job description of the position is attached.

Announcement Positions

Communications and Multimedia Specialist (1 Position)

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Multimedia Production, Conservation Science, or a related field is required.  
  • At least five years of experience in video production, documentary films, feature stories, digital content, and interactive storytelling.  
  • Extensive experience in digital communications, journalism, or social media, ideally at an NGO or INGO in Cambodia. 
  • Experience working in conservation or rural development in Cambodia is an asset. 
  • Experience using advanced tools for online publishing, including content management systems and social media publishing tools. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. 
  • Proficiency in multimedia editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Figma, and Canva are desired. Working ability with Davinci Resolve, Pro Tools, and Blender is an advantage. 
  • An adept storyteller with an imaginative and creative mindset. 
  • Visual communication and design expertise is a plus. 
  • Written and oral fluency in English and Khmer is required. 
  • Able to work autonomously after being briefed on tasks and goals. 
  • Able to work comfortably and effectively across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups. 
  • Passionate about nature conservation with the ability to build strong connections with local communities, authorities, organizations, and youth groups. 
  • Willingness to travel to remote field sites for extended periods.

REDD+ Community Outreach Specialist (1 Position)

Position Summary

Duty Station: Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri Province

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Conservation Science, Community Development, or a related field is required.  
  • More than 5 years of experience in community outreach and awareness raising. 
  • Experience working in conservation or rural development in Cambodia, especially in Mondulkiri Province, is an asset. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Figma, and Canva is an asset. 
  • Visual communication and design expertise is a plus. 
  • Experience in planning and conducting awareness-raising, outreach campaigns, and other public events is an asset. 
  • Written and oral fluency in Khmer and English is required. The ability to communicate in the Indigenous Bunong language is an advantage. 
  • Able to work autonomously after being briefed on tasks and goals. 
  • Able to work comfortably and effectively across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups with proven experience facilitating multi-stakeholder activities. 
  • Passionate about nature conservation with the ability to build strong and lasting connections with local communities, authorities, organizations, and youth groups. 
  • Willingness to travel to remote field sites for extended periods.

Communications Officer (1 Position)

Position Summary

Duty Station: Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri Province

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • A university degree in communications, media, journalism, environmental studies, or related fields. 
  • At least two years’ experience in communication, media, or public awareness projects. 
  • Skill in social media content management tools and camera equipment.  
  • Excellent written and spoken Khmer and English.  
  • Experience in writing, photography, and video editing. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. 
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere. 
  • Expertise in graphic design and producing educational/awareness-raising materials. 
  • Able to work in a remote landscape and travel to forest-edge communities. 
  • Able to work across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups. 
  • Interested in Indigenous culture and innovative conservation efforts. 
  • Have a genuine affinity for biodiversity and environmental protection.
