Position Summary
CAPRED is currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated Communications Advisor to help excel the work of CAPRED’s Comms Team. Under the supervision of Senior Manager, Communications and Knowledge Management, the Communications Advisor is responsible for supporting CAPRED’s Communications Team to execute CAPRED’s communications strategy and plans that support the organisation's goals and objectives.
This includes helping the team to ensure that CAPRED produces high quality communications content and products for the internal and external audience, by working with the comms team members and relevant agencies, that proper plan is put in place, with integration of climate resilience and gender equality, disability and social inclusion, to ensure great communications and visibility among the public, relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Comms Team to develop and execute communications strategy and plans that support the organisation's goals.
- The Communications Advisor will work with the Communications Team and incoming Strategic Communication Advisor to revise the Communications Strategy for CAPRED, and identify long-term and short-term plans.
- Write, review and edit content for a variety of media, including news releases, speeches, event briefing, website copy, and social media posts.
- In consultation with the manager, the technical teams, the leadership and DFAT, work with campaign agency to plan, coordinate and execute media and behavioral change communication campaigns.
- Produce the comms insight on quarterly basis and propose plan to elevate the comms’ reach, engagement and impacts with the public and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the comms team on the preparation of high-level events including products or new partnership inauguration, high level visit/ tour among others.
- Undertake any other communications and media tasks, as directed by the Senior Manager.
- Native English speaker.
- Bachelor’ degree in communications, public relations, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in communications, preferably in a development or corporate setting.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms and behaviour change communication campaign
- Proven ability to execute communications strategy and plan.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the Cambodian economy and context is desirable.
