Role Purpose:
The Communication Officer supports the fundraising objectives, visibility, recognition, and reputation of Teuk Saat 1001 and O-we in Cambodia. The role also plays a central function in ensuring effective internal communication across teams, the O-we entrepreneur network, and key stakeholders, contributing to cohesion, alignment, and organizational efficiency.
- Mission 1: Social Media & Digital Communication (35%)
- Develop the annual social media calendar.
- Manage social media accounts for Teuk Saat 1001 and O-we.
- Implement the effective communication, approved by top management with O-we Entrepreneur and school directors
- Produce, publish, and monitor content across platforms.
- Ensure social media actions align with visibility, fundraising, and awareness objectives.
- Update the organization’s website, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Monitor and analyze communication KPIs and adjust actions accordingly.
- Mission 2: Content Production & Creative Assets (35%)
- Produce and curate photos and videos to maintain a high-quality content pool.
- Design print and online and offline communication material (mainly Canva).
- Develop templates (print, digital, offline tools) according to organizational needs (mainly Canva).
- Prepare internal communication tools and supports upon request (HR, Managing Director, Line management).
- Provide limited graphic design support when required, in line with brand guidelines (Photoshop, Adobe).
- Ensure clean, structured, and accessible storage of communication assets and data (Google Drive, hard storage).
- Mission 3: Events & Campaign Communication (20%)
- Support communication aspects of key events, notably the Water Festival:
- Development of communication materials
- Develop and implement innovative communication concepts
- Coordination with internal teams on communication-related organizational aspects
- Support and initiate other communication campaigns or events as required.
- Mission 4: Strategic Communication support (10%)
- Actively support the development and annual update of the communication strategy and action plan, in coordination with the Partnerships & Communication Manager.
- Support the organization in adapting communication approaches to strategic and operational changes.
- Coordinate with 1001fontaines to ensure accurate, aligned, and up-to-date communication.
- Take initiative in proposing and testing innovative communication approaches, tools, and formats to improve visibility, fundraising performance, and internal cohesion.
- Actively contribute to the design and implementation of strategic and transversal communication projects, including storytelling development, engagement initiatives, and new content formats to support the evolution of Teuk Saat 1001’s communication.

- Master's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in communication, ideally within an NGO, social enterprise, or development context for 1 year as a minimum
- Proven experience managing social media accounts.
- Strong experience in content creation (photo, video, storytelling) and basic graphic design.
- Experience contributing to communication strategies, campaigns, and event support is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Canva.
- Good command of social media management tools, Google Workspace and Office suite.
- Basic to intermediate video editing skills.
- Photoshop or other Adobe tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) are strong assets.
- Ability to maintain structured digital file management.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Khmer.
- Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Interest in social enterprises and impact-driven models.
