The Commis I supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and assisting senior chefs during service periods. This role supports menu development, product innovation, and brand consistency while maintaining strict food safety standards.
Work Schedule
- Shift 1: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM or
- Shift 2: 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM
- Prepare, cook, and present food according to standard recipes and quality requirements.
- Support daily kitchen operations and buffet replenishment.
- Ensure portion control, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Guide and support Commis II and kitchen helpers when required.
- Ensure smooth workflow during service periods.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist in stock handling, labeling, and FIFO practices.
- Minimize food wastage and report quality or stock issues.
- Support stock takes when required.
- Communicate operational issues or shortages to supervisors
- Support menu execution, special events, and daily production plans.
- Kitchen experience, preferably in hotels, lounges, or catering for 2 to 3 years
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role
- Adherence to safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Willingness to follow instructions and take direction from the Executive & Head Chef.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
- Commitment to upholding Child Protection standards.
Steward

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Steward to support meal preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and provide quality service to students and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to food safety, hygiene, punctuality, and teamwork.
Work Schedule
- Shift 1: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM or
- Shift 2: 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, tables, chairs, and floors; regularly sweep, mop, and dispose of trash properly.
- Receive, clean, prepare, and store vegetables, meats, and other food items in accordance with food hygiene standards.
- Adhere strictly to scheduled working hours and demonstrate punctuality.
- Comply with all kitchen safety and hygiene protocols.
- Exhibit honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic in daily tasks.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive & Head Chef.
