We are seeking a highly organized and motivated a Clinical Research Physician to reinforce the Immunology Unit. This position offers a 12-month contract with a chance of extension based on the staff performance.
Position Overview:
Clinical Research: We are looking for a Medical Doctor who would like to be trained in research on dengue and chikungunya. The main tasks are to assist in the preparation of research protocols for human cohort studies, support field teams in communication with clinicians and training of clinicians and provide oversight linking laboratory activities at the Immunology Unit of IPC regarding human cohort studies for dengue and chikungunya.
Recruitment conditions:
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable)
- Start Date: May 1, 2026
- Remote Work: Possibility to work remotely according to IPC internal regulation, subject to management approval
- Assist in the preparation of research protocols for human cohort studies.
- Provide oversight linking laboratory activities at IPC and the field teams, support field teams in communication with clinicians and training of clinicians
- Assist in patient classification according to WHO guidelines for dengue and Chikungunya,
- Ensure regulatory compliance and SOP implementation.
- Supervise management of samples from human cohort studies
- Analyze collected data, interpret results, and assist to the preparation of scientific reports, manuscripts, and presentations for dissemination and publication.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities, including experimental protocols, data sets, and regulatory documentation, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements

- Relevant working experience in Clinical Research for 3 years
- Bilingual English – Khmer
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Pharmacy degree
- Fresh graduated accepted
- Knowledge of good clinical practices (GCP)
- Knowledge of the clinical research methodology in infectious diseases and emerging pathogens research.
- Familiarity with data analysis software and statistical methods for basic data interpretation.
- Understanding of research ethics and regulatory guidelines governing human subject’s research.
- Ability to effectively communicate research findings and updates within the research team.
- Familiarity in literature review and staying updated with current research trends and developments.
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized research records and documentation.
- Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including research participants, collaborators, and supervisors, to foster positive relationships and promote research objectives.
