Who we need
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Cleaner for our ITC, located at the University of Agriculture. As Cleaner, you will join a team of 45 staff members, who are passionate about animals and teaching students. You will work 5 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). Working hours are 2pm to 7pm. During your training the first 1 month, your working hours might be earlier to ensure adequate training time. This is to be discussed further. Your responsibilities will be:
- Clean/disinfect/organize assigned areas throughout the entire facility – including dog kennels, surgery room and office spaces
- Carefully and thoroughly follow cleaning/disinfection guidelines for infectious disease control
- Manage cleaning supply stock and purchases
- Ensure responsible/economic use of supplies and good maintenance of equipment
- Inform supervisor of any facility/equipment issues
- Assist with basic animal caretaking tasks, if needed
- Maintain an organized storage system and clean/organized working environment
- Run errands such as supply shopping and other errands as needed
- Support and work with the teams of both locations (clinic and ITC) depending on the needs of the organization (this means you might occasionally work at our clinic in Boeung Tumpun)
- Be available for overtime work on selected national holidays
- Assist the team in any additional way, if required
- Salary of 220 USD (gross) for a 25-hour week

- English - Good
- You are fluent in Khmer and you have good English skills.
- You are comfortable working in an animal hospital setting.
- You have a strong interest in infectious disease disinfection/cleaning to ensure minimal disease transmission risks to animals and humans.
- You are willing to learn about animal handling techniques to provide stress-reducing care for the animals under our care.
- You love animals and you like to work close to them.
- You like to organize and keep things very tidy.
- You have very strong attention to detail skills.
- You can anticipate what your team needs and complete it before someone else notices.
- You get motivated by working for an organization who aims to improve animal welfare in Cambodia.
