Chinese Teacher
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
Location : Mondul Bei, Sangkat Slakram, Siem Reap
Schedule : 1 Full-Time Chinese Teacher (Monday-Friday)
Report to : Education Program Manager
- Teaching & Learning Tasks
- Preparing lesson planning and teaching materials based on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) followed by NHC’s course outline
- Creating formative and summative assessments (homework, quizzes, assignments, midterm and final tests)
- Ensuring the classroom is effectively managed, friendly, engaged, and educational
- Identifying growth and weakness areas of students and providing constructive feedback
- Observing and providing techniques and additional lessons to slow learners to grow with feedback
- Working from Monday – Friday Full-time staff (8:00-5:00 PM)
- Administrative Tasks
- Score entry
- Student enrollment
- Record the attendance and report the absentee
- Communication
- Discussing strengths and challenges of classroom instruction with team
- Occasionally working with volunteers on classroom instruction
- Supporting with NHC’s Events
- Following other reasonable tasks as required by an education program manager
- Be Cambodian citizen
- Great knowledge of Chinese
- A bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Education, or at least HSK5 is preferable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching Chinese
- Be able to use computer (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, email, etc.)
- Willing to have a sense of professional development
- Being able to work independently and as a team
- Be creative, responsible, hard-working friendly, and enthusiastic in teaching.
