Missions
The Chinese coordinator is teaching, developing and promoting the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude. S/he creates daily lesson plans, conducts classroom discussions, administer and grade tests, assign and review homework, and complete individual student assessments.
- Curriculum Development and Implementation
- Develop Chinese curriculum for Secondary and High School Students; design extra-curricular Chinese cultural projects; e.g. Setting up Chinese Club; Calligraphy, Chinese Martial Arts, Chess, Drawing, Food; Organize Chinese cultural activities on and off campus
- Make Annual Chinese Teaching Plan
- Make Weekly Chinese Lesson Plan
- Teach Chinese to Grade 6 and 7
- Teacher Supervision and Support
- Supervise Chinese teachers and provide professional development
- Coordinate absence of Chinese teachers, teaching replacement or standby
- Organize department meeting for Chinese teachers
- Select and interview Chinese teacher applicants with Human Resource Office when needed
- Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring
- Provide paper-based or oral evaluation of students’ Chinese learning monthly and by semester
- Program Management and Administration
- Make project proposals
- Request and close budget for projects

- Attend pedagogical meeting of the school as scheduled

- Bachelor's Degree in Arts in Chinese
- Master's Degree is preferred
- Teaching experience is required
- Experience of studying or living in China is a plus

School Psychologist

Missions
To raise mental health awareness among students to reduce symptoms, improve functioning, and equip them with skills to manage psychological issues. It promotes well-being and socialization, fostering learning and preventing school dropouts.
Supervision
In each group (Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary and High School), the psychologist is responsible for assessment and monitoring of a child's psychological support, behaviour problem and poor school issue performance
- Preventive & Intervention Action
- Develop and psychological problems such as somatic symptoms, anxiety, depression, and psychotic symptoms. Discuss with supervisors and refer externally if medication is needed
- Assist students with intellectual limitations, learning disabilities, attention problems, and behavioural or emotional issues
- Educate on abnormal psychosocial situations linked to mental health problems
- Collaborate with pedagogy, social workers, family, and school life for information on student behaviour patterns and signs
- Conduct assessments, psychoeducation, and counselling. Promote self-care and mental health awareness, and prevent student dropout
- Collaborate with CG Department to connect students VTC programs to address poor studying and intervene based on life events
- Reporting
- Maintain Excel tables for review by Dr. reference, health manager, and supervisor
- Complete a psychological report for each session
- Summarize mid-year and yearly psychological activities
- Meetings
- Participate in department, staff, psychological team, health department, social and psychological monthly, parenting, class evaluation, and council/committee meetings
- Engage in school events, workshops, and training
- Follow an anticipated agenda displayed on Google Calendar, and be available for urgent on-call cases
- Capacity building for staffs and team
- Raising mental health awareness in school settings annually
- Attending mental health workshops and meetings with NGOs and hospitals biannually
- Practicing self-care through monthly sessions such as yoga, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques
- Conducting case conferences and audits to share and address challenging cases, promote early intervention, and exchange experiences among psychologists
- English - Good is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
- Experience in the field for 3 years
- Knowledge of assessments and psychological report
- Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and of the Pack Office in general
- Good communication in English
