Child & Youth Network Coordinator (1 Position)
Summary of position:
The Child and Youth Network Coordinator will be a full-time position, responsible for organizing their own daily schedule, implementing tasks outlined in their job description, adhering to the annual work plan, and working closely with child & youth network project manager, particularly those in the MRO-BTB Office. The position will also involve travel to remote areas with 6 provinces, in Battambang, Siem Reap, Pursat, Kandal, Phnom Penh, and Takeo. This role may also require occasional work on weekends or public holidays. However, MOR will be eligible for time off in lieu.
Position type:
This position is for a Cambodian National, the terms of employment are stated clearly in the M’lup Russey Local Staff Employment Manual.
Work environment/dynamics:
M’lup Russey rents an office building where the Child & Youth Network Coordinator
will have a workspace in the same room as the Battambang project based included with another team member. The team dynamics are friendly and supportive, with Khmer being used almost exclusively for day-to-day communication.
- Job Responsibilities and Duties Work to support Youth Club member in RCIs & The Careleavers Network Members:
- Project initiative to form new Youth Club members and Careleavers members as the network member of MRO.
- Work Close relationship and building good collaboration with RCIs Director for meeting with youth club member to set up linkages between Youth Club and youth Club groups in residential care centres and exchange reintegration experience.
- Assisting the Youth Club with club structure and member lists
- Coordinate by Strengthen the way Careleavers and youth Club and follow up.
- Peer-to-peer support between youth clubs and Careleavers network members supporting as role model and Peer to Peer Support in RCIs.
- Exchange program and link Youth Club and Careleavers with community group members, assisting them in safe community preparation and be self-sufficient in their community life.
- Identify training needs within Support Network members among youths and Careleaver.
- Offer, Coordinate, and facilitate appropriate training in such subjects as Life Skills and Soft Work Skills and Working Experience.
- Collaborating closely with youth clubs and Care Leaver Network members to support their job search and access to vocational training. This includes providing work experience opportunities and preparing them for independent living and community integration with a focus on safety and readiness before transitioning out.
- Regularly small group meeting with Careleavers and between Core committee group to set the curriculum to share their knowledge / experience to other youth club members and other new Carelevers
- Build close relationships with young adult of youth club and Careleavers members through individual meetings.
- Ensure that the youth club and Careleaves will be a good collaboration and keep contact as the next work.
- Empowering Careleavers Core Committee for best practice in their live and toward their Youth Club members and OVCs.
- Ensure that Youth Club and Careleavers are working independently in their own group and join as the next working.
- Dealing with challenges and find out solutions to support Careleavers and Emergency Responds.
- Ensure that Careleavers and youth club have a healthy emotional by Counselling, Coaching, Mentoring
- Helping Careleavers working together within network member as groups support.
- Working to promote community base care and environmental Care through Careleavers members in building them as the safe community support to Youth Club in RCIs and other OVC in their communities.
- Monitoring and keep follow up the Careleavers current situation and help them to play a vital role to support one other.
- Building more connection with other NGOs partners to find more resource to support the Careleavers opportunities and Strengthen their Capacity and livelihood.
- Represent M’lup Russey at meetings and be willing to take on the role of Minute Taker.
- Carry out any other tasks requested by the Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in community development and management or any field similarly.
- At least more than one year of experience in NGOs within the children and youth project implement fields.
- Ensure Data transparency in both Khmer and English.
- Budget Accountability: Align with SCOPE and Strategy.
- Ensure activities are completed as planned.
- Follow-Up and Recording: Track and record activities.
- Ensure work progress matches Progress markers, outcome challenges and budget.
- Ensure reports are clear and data driven.
- Participate in monthly and required meetings and be a supportive team player.
- Check and adjust relevant documents.
- Maintain healthy relationships with stakeholders.
- Build relationships with local authorities and partners.
- Attend relevant meetings for best practices.
- Represent MRO to outsiders.
- Respect diversity and uphold MRO values.
- Integrate and monitor data for community partners.
- Maintain clear data tracking for KCP/Role Model/RCI Partners.
- Prepare Khmer Narrative reports for DoSVY and support government reporting.
- Willingness to travel for work.
- Willingness to travel and stay for short periods in various provinces.
- Strong team player and task flexibility a current driver’s license with the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
- Developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to take initiative.
