Contract Duration: For 01 month( between 14th June to 14th July 2021)
Location: Phnom Penh, with frequent travel to the Provinces
Reports to: Producer/Director
OBJECTIVE
The Camera Operator will be expected to rig & operate a range of camera equipment during the filming on various locations across Cambodia.
EXPECTED OUTPUTS
Successful shooting of scenes.
DURATION
The Contractor is expected to carry out the assignment over a period of 1 month (between 14th June to 14th July 2021).
- KEY TASKS AND TIMEFRAME
- Perform all work related to the use and handling of the camera equipment while shooting on location.
- Work closely with the Producer/Director and Head of Production in planning, managing and coordinating the handling of the camera equipment and peripherals.
- Consult with the Director to understand and interpret each scene of the Magazine Show to determine the most appropriate camera angles, lenses, lighting and movement.
- Responsible for handling and maintaining all camera equipment.
- Ensure that BBC Health and Safety guidelines are followed at all times.
- Ability to work without close supervision and able to offer a creative solution to problems.
- The Contractor may be required to work irregular hours, weekends on holidays without any additional remuneration or fee.
- ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPORTING SYSTEM
- The Contractor will work under the overall guidance and advisory support of the Producer.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (for selection of “Contractor”)
- Experience as a Camera Operator for TV.
- Competence in working closely with the Director to bring his/her vision to life through appropriate technical support.
- Experience and competence in shooting with Sony A7R3 (Mirrorless), BlackMagic & Canon 5D Mark III (DSLR) cameras and lenses.
- Fluency in Khmer.
- Competent English language skills.
Artist

Reports to: Producer
OBJECTIVE
BBC Media Action is looking for actors to appear in 8 episodes of magazine show under the following roles:
- 1 x female, 18-35 years old. Priority given to real artist and comedy acting ability required
- 2 x male , 18-35 years old. Priority given to real artist and comedy acting ability required
EXPECTED OUTPUTS
- 4 days of performance
- Provide studio voice-over as required.
- Photoshoot for digital campaign.
- Share relevant to the show. (Optional)
DURATION
The Contractor is expected to carry out the position over 4 days of shooting in Cambodia. The contract will run between June 14th to July 14th, 2021.
- KEY TASKS AND TIMEFRAME
- Be available and fully prepared for shooting on assigned days
- Rehearse the role in advance so shooting proceeds smoothly
- Perform the role under the guidance of the production team
- ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPORTING SYSTEM
- The Contractor will work under the overall guidance and advisory support of Producer.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (for selection of “Contractor”)
- Actors must be Cambodian and speak Khmer fluently
- Ability to entertain with good sense of humour
- Experience or natural ability as an actor
- Ability to perform on location and / or in front of a microphone
- For ‘artist’: ability to paint traditional Cambodian landscapes
Offline Video Editor

Type of Contract: Preferred Supplier for Freelance Service
Contract Duration: 01 Month (between 14th June to 14th July 2021)
Reports to: Head of Production
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this assignment is to perform all tasks related to video editing during the production under the Head of Production.
EXPECTED OUTPUTS
Completion of the Video Editing including picture editing and assemble footages.
DURATION
The Contractor is expected to carry out the assignment over a period of one month (between 14th June to 14th July 2021)
- KEY TASKS AND TIMEFRAME
- Take responsibility for all picture editing, post-production.
- Edit using a script and to a clear brief provided by the Head of Production, Producer/Director and Assistant Producers.
- Study scripts and production briefs and become familiar with production concepts and requirements.
- Incorporate graphics supplied by BBC Media Action and insert lower-thirds.
- Support Production Coordinator to complete post-production reports.
- Ensure that BBC editorial principles and all relevant legal, contractual and copyright requirements are met, referring upwards in cases of difficulty or doubt.
- The Contractor may be required to work irregular hours, weekends on holidays without any additional remuneration or fee.
- ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPORTING SYSTEM
- The Contractor will work under the overall guidance and advisory support of the Head of Production.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (for selection of “Contractor”)
- Significant experience in a television post-production role (ideally, factual television)
- Well-developed technical post-production skills, including full competency of Adobe Premier
- An ability to take direction and ask if something is unclear.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- A meticulous, logical approach towards work with the ability to prioritize across multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Excellent spoken Khmer
- Good spoken English
- Specialist skills and experience in graphics and/or post-production sound
- Experience working in a development-related setting

Sound Recordist

Contract Duration: For 01 month (between 14th June to 14th July 2021)
Reports to: Producer/Director
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this assignment is to perform all tasks related to the sound recording during the shooting and show under the Producer/Director.
EXPECTED OUTPUTS
Completion of the shooting and containing effective sound work and management of the sound equipment under the Producer/Director.
DURATION
The Contractor is expected to carry out the assignment over a period of 1 month (between 14th June to 14th July 2021).
- KEY TASKS AND TIMEFRAME
- Successfully with recording all the sound required for the shooting
- Work closely with camera operators to determine the best sound recording
- Consult with the Producer/Director and Director of Photography to understand and interpret each scene TV show in order to determine the most appropriate sound design for the scenes as per the camera angles, lenses and movement.
- Responsible for handling and maintaining the sound equipment.
- Ensure that BBC Health and Safety guidelines are followed
- The Contractor may be required to work irregular hours, weekends on holidays without any additional remuneration or fee.
- ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPORTING SYSTEM
- The Contractor will work under the overall guidance and advisory support Producer.

- Experience as a sound on location for TV.
- Competence in working closely with the Director to bring his/her vision to life through appropriate sound support.
- Experience and competence in handling a sound mixer and a variety of professional wired and wireless microphones for sound recording with digital sound recording systems.
- Fluency in Khmer.
- Competent English language skills.
