Siem Reap Academy (SRA) is a social impact hub based in Cambodia’s cultural capital. We support initiatives across Cambodia and Southeast Asia to move from idea to impact.

SRA hosts individuals and organisations at Siem Reap House, a vibrant coworking space located in Rose Apple Square, Siem Reap. The space features flexible and designated workspaces, meeting rooms for training, lecture halls, an auditorium, and a modern canteen.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to lead the daily operations and strategic growth of the Siem Reap House Canteen—a central part of our community offering specialty coffee, healthy light meals, and warm service to members, students, professionals, and event attendees.

Position Summary

Position: Café Manager, Siem Reap House

Location: Siem Reap House, Rose Apple Square, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Reports to: Director, Siem Reap House

Works with: Canteen Team, Coworking & Events Team, Finance/Admin Team

Key Responsibilities

The Café Manager is responsible for the overall operation, management, and development of the Siem Reap HouseCanteen, reporting to the Director of Siem Reap House.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Operations & Setup
  • Oversee daily operations with an emphasis on consistency, quality, and professionalism
  • Lead layout and setup improvements to optimize workflow and customer experience
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Monitor and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment
  • Menu Development & Product Quality
  • Design and refine a high-quality menu featuring coffee, drinks, and light meals aligned with SRA’s emphasis on health, sustainability, and innovation
  • Ensure all products meet consistent quality and presentation standards
  • Team Management
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and coordinate canteen staff
  • Cultivate a professional, supportive, and inclusive team culture, as part of the wider Siem Reap House team
  • Customer Service
  • Deliver a welcoming and attentive service experience for all members and visitors
  • Track and address feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Financial Management
  • Monitor daily sales, manage costs, and ensure profitability
  • Work closely with the finance team on budgeting, pricing, payroll, and financial reporting, using simple digital tools
  • Collaboration, Event Support & Marketing
  • Coordinate with other team members to support and organise events
  • Manage catering or beverage orders for group bookings, lectures, and internal activities at Siem Reap House
  • Align canteen services with Siem Reap Academy’s overall mission and branding
  • Promote the canteen through creative marketing, partnerships, and community engagement in coordination with the wider Siem Reap House team

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in café/canteen, F&B, or restaurant management
  • Proven track record in café/canteen setup and operations
  • Solid knowledge of coffee, beverages, food preparation, and café/canteen equipment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience managing inventory, controlling costs, and increasing profitability
  • Customer-focused and detail-oriented with a creative mindset
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • High level of professionalism, adaptability, and problem-solving ability
