Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Support and Marketing Officer who will provide comprehensive support to the Business Development Manager in promoting the business, managing daily requirements from the website, contacting clients and partners, organizing meetings and networking events, and preparing marketing and training materials. The Business Support and Marketing Officer will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Communications and Local Fundraising Specialist.

Contract type: A three-month probationary period - API will review and may offer an Undetermined Duration Contract (UDC) or Fixed Duration Contract (FDC)

Location: Phnom Penh and traveling to provinces

Working hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday/ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Report to: Business Development Manager

Working Conditions: Occasional travel may be required for meetings and events.

Job Purpose

The Business Support and Marketing Officer will provide comprehensive support to the Business Development Manager and Communications and Local Fundraising Specialist in promoting the business, managing daily requirements from the website job announcement, contacting clients and partners, organizing meetings and networking events, and preparing marketing and training materials.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Client and Partner Communication
  • Communicate with clients and partners on a daily basis.
  • Respond to inquiries, emails, and phone calls promptly.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
  • Marketing and Communications for API and API DC
  • Plan and develop monthly marketing and promotional activities aligned with business objectives and API’s goals.
  • Create, design, and publish promotional content across social media and other communication channels.
  • Lead and support the organization of events, exhibitions, workshops, and campaigns related to business and project activities.
  • Distribute marketing and promotional materials to clients, partners, and stakeholders via email marketing and face-to-face networking events.
  • Update and maintain accurate marketing databases and contact lists regularly.
  • Attend business networking events and meetings with potential clients as assigned by the Business Development Manager.
  • Coordination with External Consultants/Trainers
  • Regularly update and maintain the consultant database and consultant pool and categorize consultants based on their specialization and expertise.
  • Coordinate meetings and interviews with new consultants
  • Conduct quality checks and monitor consultant performance after project completion.
  • Collect client satisfaction feedback forms at the end of each project.
  • Prepare and submit proper reports on consultant performance and client feedback.
  • Support the Assistant in preparing agreements/contracts with clients and consultants.
  • Assist in processing consultant payments after project completion.
  • Coordinate communication and follow-up between consultants, clients, and internal teams.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Handle any other tasks assigned by the Business Development Manager.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Proven experience in marketing, client communication, and administrative support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Soft Skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
