About the Position
The organization’s Board of Directors is formed for the purpose of promoting policies, good governance and professional work. This is a volunteer role and offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability of our organization. As outlined in the Board Member Terms of Reference, each board member will serve a 3-year term, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
- Ensure the process of developing a strategic plan and approval.
- Advise the Executive Director about the organization's strategic plan.
- Ensure that program management and financial systems are transparent and accountable.
- Review and approve annual activity plan and budget.
- Review and approve additional programs or expenses that are not previously approved in the annual work plan and budget plan.
- Review and approve changes of target beneficiary and program phase-out requested by the Management Team.
- Ensure program/project evaluation is implemented.
- Review and approve all policies for the organization. Introduce new policies when necessary to ensure all aspects of expenses including program and staff (whether to limit, decrease or expand) are in line with the best practices and comparable with similar organizations.
- Recruit new board of director members.
- Recruit, evaluate, and terminate Executive Director’s employment agreement.
- Represent and promote PEPY to potential funding sources.
- Advise on program execution and organizational management.
- Ensure program implementation is based on vision, mission and organization goals.
- Good/relevant experience that can help the organization.
- Dedication to volunteering time and effort to the organization.
- Upholding the same or similar core values to the organization.
- Either Cambodian or foreigner.
- No direct benefit of the organization.
- Two references.
