Clear Cambodia is a Christian local NGO that has been implementing the projects under the aim of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). The mission is to transform water quality, sanitation and health in target communities by making appropriate technology and education accessible to all. All of the work is done in collaboration with community leaders and local authorities. Clear Cambodia is currently implementing its projects in eleven provinces such as Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kampong Thom, Battambang, Pursat, Oddar Meanchey, Siem Reap, Tboung Khmum, Kampot, Ratanakiri and Stung Treng.

Position Summary

Board Member (Volunteer Role) Clear Cambodia

Clear Cambodia is seeking committed individuals to join our Board and help guide the next chapter of our work. We are a Christian NGO focused on improving health and well-being for communities through clean water, sanitation, and hygiene programs.

About the Role:

Board members provide strategic leadership, support good governance, and help strengthen the long-term health of the organization. This is a volunteer position suited for someone who wants to use their skills and experience to make a meaningful impact in Cambodia

Who We Are Looking For:

We welcome applicants who bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
  • Engineering, water systems, or related technical fields
  • Community development or public health
  • Nonprofit leadership or governance
  • Finance, fundraising, or organizational development

Because Clear Cambodia is a Christian organization, we give preference to candidates who share our Christian values and are comfortable serving in a faith-based environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Executive Director and leadership team.
  • Review and provide input on organizational plans, budgets, and major decisions.
  • Support oversight in accountability, compliance, and ethical practices.
  • Participate in quarterly board meetings and occasional committee work.
  • Help strengthen partnerships, visibility, and resource mobilization.
  • Serve as an ambassador of Clear Cambodia’s mission and values.
  • Commitment:
  • This is a volunteer role. Board members typically serve a three-year term and commit to attending meetings, reviewing materials, and supporting occasional advisory needs.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Strong alignment with Clear Cambodia’s mission and values.
  • Background in WASH, engineering, or a related technical sector.
  • Proven leadership in their field and the ability to offer sound judgment.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative and faith-informed environment.
  • Passionate about improving lives through clean water and sanitation.
