Founded in 2005, Journeys Within Our Community (JWOC) is a non-profit organization based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. JWOC’s mission is to work in partnership with Cambodian youth to fulfill their potential in education, employment and sustainable development of their society.

We are looking to add a new passionate staff member for the Better Futures Program Officer position.

Better Futures Program Officer

Position Circumstances

  • Schedule:Full-time
  • Salary: $280 - $350 Based on Experience
Position Summary

Schedule: Fulltime in Including Sunday (Day off: Friday-Saturday)

Eligibility: Young people below 35 are encouraged to apply

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Implement the recruitment process as planned for student’s enrollment in the Better Futures Program
  • Deliver career guidance training and facilitate sessions related to their career opportunities
  • Ensure students are abide by the JWOC rules and policies
  • Build and maintain relationship with partners such as high schools, NGOs and employers
  • Asist Program Coordinator in running events that improve student and alumni relationships and promote social engagement.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Program Coordinator

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent in any field, especially Education
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Knowledge or experience working with youth and people from diverse background
  • Experience in teaching/training and facilitating events
Soft Skills
  • Having strong leadership skills with critical thinking, creativity and good communication
  • Good English and Computer skills
  • Friendly, enjoy meeting people and able to form & maintain good relationships
  • Willing to work in a team that values quality and is open to ideas
  • Available on Sunday as part of working schedule
