Siem Reap Academy (SRA) is a social impact hub based in Cambodia’s cultural capital. We support initiatives across Cambodia and Southeast Asia through strategic advice, collaborative workspaces, funding, in-kind support, partnerships, and visibility—helping projects move from idea to impact.

As part of this initiative, SRA has launched Siem Reap House, a vibrant coworking space located in Rose Apple Square. The space features a community area, canteen, flexible and designated workspaces, as well as event spaces, including meeting rooms, lecture halls, and an auditorium.

We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented Part-Time Barista to support the daily operations of the Siem Reap House canteen. The Barista will prepare beverages, maintain cleanliness, and provide courteous service to members and guests.

Position Summary

Hours: 22 hours per week; shift-based

Location: Siem Reap House Canteen, Siem Reap House, Rose Apple Square, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Reports to: Finance/Admin Officer

Works with: Fellow Baristas, Receptionists, and Front Desk Team

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established standards.
  • Greet visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
  • Provide polite and efficient customer service to members, guests, and visitors.
  • Operate coffee machines and related equipment safely and correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the canteen, counter, and preparation areas.
  • Handle cash and digital payments accurately, in line with internal procedures.
  • Assist with stock monitoring and report low supplies when needed.
  • Support opening and closing duties during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and conference room reservations when required.
  • Collaborate with reception and operations staff to ensure smooth daily operations and provide general support as needed.
  • Follow hygiene, health, and safety guidelines at all times.
  • What Success Looks Like
  • Beverages are prepared consistently to standard and served in a timely manner.
  • Visitors and members feel welcomed, supported, and assisted in a professional manner.
  • Customer service is polite, professional, and efficient.
  • Coffee machines and other equipment are operated safely without incidents.
  • Canteen and front-of-house areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Cash handling and digital payments are accurate and completed responsibly.
  • Supplies are monitored, and stock shortages are reported promptly.
  • Opening and closing duties are completed reliably during assigned shifts.
  • Meetings, events, and conference room bookings are coordinated accurately.
  • Daily operations run smoothly through effective collaboration with team members.
  • Hygiene, health, and safety standards are consistently followed.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer
  • English
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to provide polite and efficient service to diverse members and visitors.
  • Experience or ability to safely operate coffee machines and related equipment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and detail.
  • Comfortable handling cash and digital payments accurately.
  • Ability to monitor stock and report low supplies as needed.
  • Responsible, reliable, and punctual, with ability to manage opening and closing tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, events, and conference room reservations when required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
  • English communication skills are required.
Soft Skills
