The Student Development Institute (SDI) was established in 2008 as a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution recognized by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT). SDI oriented education through six qualification pathways, ranging from short-term technical certificates and one-year TVET diploma programs to associate and bachelor's degree programs in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Professional Accountancy.

SDI's academic programs integrate technical knowledge with workplace experience, incorporating On-the-Job Practical Experience (OPE), professional mentoring and soft skills development (MTP), cloud accounting, IFRS/ISA-based learning, and industry-relevant competencies to ensure graduates are well prepared for employment and professional growth. The Institute emphasizes producing graduates who possess not only strong technical expertise but also professionalism, ethical values, and practical skills required by employers.  The Institute also provides a structured pathway for students who aspire to pursue internationally recognized professional qualifications such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Assistant Director

Report to: Operation Director

PURPOSE: The Assistant Director supports the Operations Director in overseeing SDI’s daily academic and administrative operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality training programs. The role ensures compliance with MoLVT requirements, ACCA/CPA curriculum standards, diploma program requirements, SDI policies, quality standards, and SOPs. It provides leadership in curriculum implementation, teacher development, student achievement, financial oversight, risk management, institutional data analysis, and performance reporting. The Assistant Director also contributes to strategic planning, budgeting, policy development, marketing, and institutional development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the institute.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the institute's day-to-day operations to ensure efficient, effective, and high-quality administrative and academic performance.
  • Attend the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous enhancement of designated training programs to ensure compliance with MoLVT requirements, ACCA/CPA curriculum standards, diploma program, and SDI’s quality framework.
  • Ensure all departments comply with the institute’s policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the Executive Management team in strategic planning, institutional development, and organizational decision-making.
  • Review, validate, and approve financial reports prepared by accounting department and relevant staff.
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review the institute’s risk management framework to minimize operational and strategic risks.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to develop and execute strategies that strengthen the institute’s brand, training programs, and public reputation.
  • Ensure the implementation of effective assessment systems that promote active, collaborative, and authentic learning experiences.
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of academic records within the School Management System (SMS).
  • Analyze institutional and professional academic data to identify trends, address challenges, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and supports curriculum implementation, review, and enhancement in collaboration with Subject Team Leaders and the Curriculum Specialist.
  • Monitor and evaluate the training program performance and professional development of teachers while overseeing student achievement.
  • Develop and implement strategic action plans to improve training quality, student outcomes, and institutional performance.
  • Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, policy development, reporting, and the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of accurate professional academic, operational, and program performance reports for management and relevant stakeholders.

Administrative and HR

Report to: Operating Director

PURPOSE: The Administrative and HR Officer supports the Operations Director by managing the institute’s human resources, administration, admissions, and regulatory compliance functions. The role oversees recruitment, employee records, performance management, staff policies, labour compliance, attendance, and staff orientation. It also ensures efficient administrative operations and accurate documentation, while coordinating student admissions, assessments, enrollment, orientation, and onboarding. As a key point of contact for prospective students, parents, staff, visitors, and relevant authorities, the position provides professional guidance and service to support informed enrollment decisions, effective workforce management, institutional accountability, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the institute.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Handle all recruitment processing and manage all employee personnel management.
  • Prepare and KPI setting and job descriptions that align with institute policies.
  • Review and update staff policies and the Employee Handbook, and interpret and communicate existing procedures, policies, and guidelines to new and current staff through training and orientation.
  • Preparing the labour compliance document, work permit and employee record books with local authorities.
  • Prepare letters, reports and various documents relating to the outsourcing process as required.
  • Control day-to-day staff attendance/leave and prepare monthly report.
  • Recruit, interview and screen for vacant positions.
  • Manage all administrative functions to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality administrative support across the institute.
  • Maintain and regularly update the student admissions database, ensuring the accuracy of applicant records and monitoring the admissions process through final enrollment.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, parents, and visitors by providing professional customer service and institute tours.
  • Advise prospective students on training programs, admission requirements, curriculum structures, career opportunities, scholarship options, and institutional partnerships to support informed enrollment decisions.
  • Reviewing applicant qualifications to ensure compliance with institutional admission policies, regulatory, and MoLVT requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and student tests, examinations, interviews, and other admission assessment activities in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the student affairs, and implement orientation week and student onboarding programs, ensuring a positive and seamless transition for newly enrolled students.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate administrative records, reports, and documentation to support institutional planning, decision-making, and audit requirements.

PURPOSE: The Sales/Education Consultant supports the Operations Director and Assistant Director in promoting the institute’s training programs, increasing student enrolment, and achieving sales and marketing targets. The role provides professional guidance to students and parents on study programs, admission requirements, career opportunities, and learning pathways, while assessing their needs and recommending suitable courses. It also develops and implements approved sales, promotional, social media, public relations, and networking activities; maintains accurate sales data and performance reports; and gathers student feedback to strengthen service quality, market engagement, institutional visibility, and continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Advise students and parents on study programs, educational opportunities, admission requirements, and available learning pathways.
  • Understand clients’ needs and recommend suitable courses, and professional programs.
  • Organize and facilitate student meetings to provide detailed information about training programs, curriculum structures, admission requirements, and learning pathways.
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales data weekly, monthly and yearly.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate feedback from students to support continuous improvement and enhance service quality.
  • Develop, organize and manage sales activities through strategies approved by management.
  • Post and up to date the company information to social media.

PURPOSE: The Accountant supports the Operations Director and Assistant Director by managing the institute’s daily accounting and financial activities and ensuring that all transactions, records, and reports are accurate, complete, secure, and timely. The role is responsible for bookkeeping, financial document verification, budget preparation, financial forecasting, tax reporting, annual financial statements, and compliance with applicable laws, ACAR requirements, financial regulations, and institutional policies. The accountant also provides reliable financial analysis to support management decision-making while maintaining well-organized financial records and contributing to professional and positive relationships with students and other stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting function to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely financial processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Document financial transactions by entering data into accounting software.
  • Secure financial information by performing regular database backups.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize the financial status.
  • Check and verify all accounting and financial documents.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the role develops and reviews course specifications, learning materials, and assessments; evaluates student performance; provides academic consultation and mentoring; and maintains accurate attendance and academic records. The Trainer also contributes to curriculum review, quality assurance, semester and examination coordination, and the effective management of teaching resources. Where assigned, the role provides professional guidance, mentoring, and support to other lecturers within the relevant discipline to ensure consistent training quality and continuous improvement across SDI.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Review and revise course specification.
  • Prepare and mark assignments, quizzes and exams, and help for students’ consultation.
  • Design and deliver engaging learning experiences that inspire student learning and development.
