Advocacy Officer (1 Position)
- Working to provide legal support to lawyer to address DV cases of de factor or cohabitation
- Collecting and gathering all relevant documents to support their cases and lawyers in their work (legal representation, advocacy, training and outreach activities).
- Working closely with the target district GBV WG and communes, and provincial GBV WG. Organizing District GBV Network meetings,
- Provide legal training to local authority
- Organizing legal outreach at the community level or through video clips
- Interring all their cases into the case database.
- Contact with local representatives to collect specific information on GBV / women and PWD issues.
- Maintain confidentiality for client case file and personnel related information.
- Assist team members to implement work plans, including witness interviews, records collection, report writing, forensic evidence review, psychological evidence review, legal and public education strategy for assisting their clients.
- Ensuring that there are formal memoranda of all interviews and meetings with witnesses, lawyers, representatives of the government or judiciary, or professionals consulting on cases.
- Ensuring lines of communication are clear, and that the clients have reasonable and clear understanding of LAC's involvement in their case. The most important element of this work is building up a relationship with clients and local authorities
- Any other jobs as assigned by Lawyer, Program Manager

- Displays cultural, gender, religion, disabilities, LGBT, race, nationality, age sensitivity and fully comply with LAC's Policies and Guidelines.
- Good written and spoken English and excellent written and spoken Khmer (Optional)
- Good understanding of national and international legal instruments related to Women
- Good understanding of Cambodian justice system, Cambodia Criminal Procedure Code, Penal Code, Civil Code etc.
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- At least three-year experience working in law-related fields (gender-based violence)
- Bachelor degree in law or equivalent
- Has her/his one personal travel means and regularly travel to the communities.
