One of the project’s activities is promoted meaningful participation of women worker in participatory action research on the workers movement and the significant impacts of their livelihoods on the freedom of association and trade union.

The Freedom of association is a fundamental human right and a core labour right recognized by Cambodian constitution, labor law, ILO C87 and 98, International convention on civil and political rights. The Trade Union Law and related regulations have generated ongoing debate among civil society organizations, trade unions, national and international stakeholders regarding their impact on union independence and operational space. Challenges such as restrictions on union formation, limitations on collective bargaining, and administrative requirements can weaken workers’ ability to organize freely and collectively advocate for their rights
