Cambodia Pepper and Spices Federation (CPSF) was officially established at Siem Reap in November 2019, and it was officially registered at Ministry of Interior (MoI) on June 15, 2019. CPSF is supporting by CIRD and HEKS in close collaboration with MoE, IFC-World Bank and Grow Asia as well as other key pepper value chain actors. CPSF is a national platform to gather all spice and pepper actors together to address a common challenge and sharing opportunity.

CPSF is now seeking to recruit a Part time Advisor based in Phnom Penh with some implement a local and international travel.

Position Summary

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Fundraising & Donor Relations:
  • Work with the BoD, CPSF management team, and key partners as appropriate, to develop a fundraising strategy to ensure CPSF’s organizational development and long-term sustainability.
  • Gather information about funding opportunities and communicate with the CPSF board to apply for them for the organization's performance and development.
  • Identify and diversify sources of income for supporting CPSF operation.
  • Organize meetings between CPSF and new buyers.
  • Stakeholder Linkage & External Relations:
  • Build strategic networking with relevant Government institutions, private sector, Spices trade organizations, and Labs, etc.
  • Strengthen linkages of CPSF with pepper & spices business actors, associations, cooperatives, communities, relevant ministries, development partners, and NGOs.
  • Collaborate with other members and pepper & spice business actors to inform policy discussions and development dialogue/debate on pepper and spices.
  • Coordinate to promote CPSF and Cambodian pepper in the national and international market.
  • Routinely monitor the needs in the pepper and spices sub-sector to identify trends to which CPSF should respond with new initiatives.
  • Internal Operations:
  • Ensure effective coordination and representation of all CPSF members.
  • Oversee the identification, organizing, and mapping of key development working groups and forums of common interest to enable the sharing of resources and information amongst all members and key stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings/workshops for CPSF (annual general assembly, quarterly board meetings, etc.).
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports for CPSF.
  • Ensure effective communication with the BoD members regarding issues of strategic importance to CPSF, CPSF members, and key partners/donors.
  • Coordinate with service providers and relevant stakeholders for technical support on pepper growing and quality assurance.
  • Ensure effective communication with the BoD members regarding issues of strategic importance to CPSF, CPSF members, and the key partners, donor.

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • MSc. degree (or higher) in agriculture or in development management
  • At least 7 years of work experience in similar position.
  • Good communication skills, and computer literacy.
  • Teamwork spirit.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Well organized and respectful of deadlines.
