Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh (SISPP) is "A School like no other in Cambodia". SISPP offers a British primary school-style education based on the National Curriculum of England for pupils aged 2 to 9 years old.

Our school is the newest member of the Shrewsbury family of schools to open for business, and our business is the 'serious fun' of learning. We are deeply connected to one of the most prestigious schools in the UK, Shrewsbury School, which is almost 500 years old and has nurtured distinguished alumni such as the famous naturalist Charles Darwin.

Our school opened for business in 2022 and this year our new, purpose-built primary school campus will open in a spectacular location by the River Mekong in Chroy Changvar in September 2024

Admissions Officer

Position Summary

Department: Admissions & Marketing

Reporting To: Admissions Manager

Job Summary:

The Admissions Executive plays a key role in supporting the recruitment and enrollment of students at Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh. This individual will be responsible for handling inquiries, meeting with parents, guiding families through the admissions process, and ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective parents and students. The ideal candidate should be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about education.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Admissions & Enrollment
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective families via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide accurate and timely information about the school, curriculum, admission requirements, and application procedures.
  • Guide families through the entire admissions journey, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
  • Schedule and conduct school tours, meetings, and assessments for prospective students.
  • Assist in processing applications, verifying documents, and coordinating entry assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of student applications and admission status in the school database.
  • Reach key performance indicators (KPIs) on a termly basis to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Marketing & Outreach
  • Support admissions events such as open houses, school fairs, and community engagement activities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote admissions campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Assist in developing promotional materials, presentations, and digital content for admissions purposes.
  • Customer Relations & Communication
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective families, ensuring their queries are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Follow up with prospective parents to keep them engaged and informed about their application status.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider school community.
  • Data & Reporting
  • Maintain and update admissions records, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Generate reports on admissions trends, conversion rates, and enrollment statistics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving the admissions process.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in admissions, customer service, sales, or a related field (experience in an international school setting is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Native Khmer speaker with fluency in Mandarin and English in writing and reading.
  • A friendly, professional, and proactive attitude, with a genuine passion for education.
 
 

HR Officer

Position Summary

Department: Support staff

Reports To: HR & Admin Supervisor

Location: Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh - Chroy Changvar

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • ⁠Manage Systems from the Ministry of Labor (LACMS & FWCMS)
  • Employee Registration: Facilitate the onboarding of new employees by bringing them to the Ministry of Labor, NSSF, and the district office to complete our single centre register and other necessary tasks.
  • ⁠Visa and Work Permit Assistance: Support in the processing of work visas and permits for employees to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
  • ⁠NSSF Contribution Fee Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting reports related to National Social Security Fund (NSSF) contribution fees.
  • ⁠Employee Record Maintenance: Maintain and update employee records.
  • Collaboration with Insurance Companies: Work closely with insurance providers to manage employee benefits effectively.
  • HR Support: Provide support to employees and supervisor on all HR-related matters, including benefits, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
  • ⁠Attendance Management: Prepare and maintain daily attendance records for the entire workforce.
  • ⁠Employee Cycle Management: Manage the full employee cycle from recruitment through onboarding to off-boarding.
  • Other reasonable tasks assigned by the HR Manager and the leadership team.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant University Degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working in Human Resources, some of which will preferably have been within an International School context.
  • Fluent in both English and Khmer, both spoken and written.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge and application of best practice for HR processes and systems
  • Broad knowledge of personnel management of labour contracts
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of work in Human Resources and administration
  • Proven ability to work in team-working style in complex and international organisation
  • Proven skills to quickly evaluate complex issues and identity multiple options for resolution
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Be able to work both strategically and at a hands-on level
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working within an educational environment
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
