Admissions Officer
The Admissions Officer is responsible for executing tasks related to meeting student enrolment goals and maintaining relationships with current and prospective families. They also assist in coordinating with various internal departments as it relates to student admissions.
- Maintain and update various student databases, information portals and hard copy files
- Update student movement in school class lists and Gibbon reports on a regular basis
- Help manage the application process and applicant waiting list
- Collect application documents from prospective families
- Establish, organize and maintain files, records and reports
- Lead school tours for prospective families at all three campuses
- Answer inquiries in a pleasant, informed manner in person, via email and over the phone
- Organize and schedule Admissions-related appointments
- Assist in the preparation of weekly admissions reports
- Maintain, organize and review class lists and other admissions information in Gibbon
- Maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries appropriately
- Respond to common inquiries from students, parents, staff or members of the community
- Professionally represent the school and in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students
- Assist with school events
- Perform other relevant administrative duties assigned by the Admissions and Corporate Relations Manager and the Head of School
- Fulfill their role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students in the school by:
- attending regular professional development child protection and safeguarding programs and sign a Code of Conduct
- reporting to the Designated or Deputy Safeguarding Lead any concerns they have for the welfare of a student
- Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, administrative or general clerical work
- Prior experience working in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred
- Competencies, Skills and Attributes
- Proficient in verbal and written English and Khmer
- Strong ICT skills, including the use of email and Google Workspace
- Outstanding customer services skills, professional presentation and good communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and able to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly collaborative and able to work well with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Work confidentially and with discretion
- Compose correspondence independently
- Enter and retrieve computerized data accurately
- Maintain relationships with students, parents, staff, and the public
- Adapt to change within the workplace effectively
- Exercise attention to detail and work proactively and flexibly
