Admissions Manager

The Admissions Manager oversees the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment. They manage student data, communicate with prospective international families, and oversee the work of the Admissions Team. The Admissions Manager will serve as a key ambassador of CIS.
This position would be suitable for a confident communicator, efficient administrator and highly collaborative team player with some experience in a supervisory role in a top-tier international school.
- Communicate with prospective families maintaining a 24-hour response time for all new inquiries, provide high-quality customer service, and maintain inquiry records and track follow-up actions
- Stay well informed regarding CIS academic and extracurricular programs, as well as the general operation of the school, so as to be able to provide accurate information to prospective families
- Oversee the processing of applications for all students in Nursery-Grade 12 by the Admissions team, ensuring that all applications for enrolment are referred to the Student Services Directors as per established internal procedures
- Assist the Head of School in all matters relating to admissions, including by offering input regarding enrolment targets and helping to resolve issues related to refunds, withdrawals, and fee payments
- Communicate weekly enrolment numbers to the Head of School and quarterly enrolment numbers to the Board of Directors
- Track admissions data, including but not limited to lead source tracking, inquiry volume, conversion rates, time from inquiry to enrolment, FAQs, family demographics, retention rates, parent satisfaction, reasons for withdrawal, and barriers to enrolment
- Work with Admissions staff to analyze key parent interests and priorities, and to propose improvements to the school tour format and content; prepare customized itineraries and meeting line-ups for visiting families
- Participate in regular evaluation processes required by the Ministry of Education and Childcare and the Council of International Schools as it relates to admissions
- Ensure new student data is entered into iSAMS by Admissions Team members, thereby creating Alberta Student Numbers
- Coordinate with the leadership team to ensure compliance with the Alberta Provincial Approach to Student Information Program
- Ensure that CIS adheres to the Ministry of Education and Childcare’s Student Record Regulations
- Serve as the central liaison with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Chamkarmon District Education Office on matters related to student data reporting
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to:
- develop shared targets for applications and tours; meet regularly to assess progress toward shared goals and to make strategic adjustments as needed
- analyze admissions data, including the family journey, admissions funnel (see appendix), and student data, to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
- monitor market conditions and competitor admissions strategies to provide actionable insights and recommendations
- analyze and update admissions forms and printed materials
- analyze FAQs from prospective families to and develop key insights to inform marketing messages
- ensure messaging to prospective families–whether it relates to faculty, the campus, or the curricula is unified and consistent
- revisit the school story and offer feedback regarding whether social media channels, digital ads and the website are in alignment with it
- suggest families who might be profiled in promotional materials or on the website
- identify and develop partnerships with companies, organizations, and business networks

- At least relevant management experience, preferably in admissions and/or at K-12 international schools for 5 years
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with data analytics and data reporting
- Knowledge of the international school sector in Cambodia
- Understanding of government agencies and hierarchy of positions therein
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Khmer
- Has an understanding or is willing to build an understanding of key concepts in progressive education (inquiry-based learning, play-based learning, the Reggio Emilia approach, etc.)
- Willing to complete an initial Enrollment Management Association course, and to dedicate time to continual professional development (courses, articles, webinars, conferences)
- Comfortable using Google Workspace and iSAMS
- Highly diplomatic with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Highly collaborative, supportive of colleagues and adept at conflict resolution

Inclusive Education Facilitator

CIS seeks a competitive, experienced candidate for the position of Inclusive Education Facilitator. As a full-time member of the Inclusive Education and Student Services Team, they will demonstrate a keen interest in helping elementary students achieve their learning and communication goals. They will be interested in their own learning journey and will initiate conversations about students’ learning journeys with the Inclusive Education Specialist Teachers, Speech-Language Therapist, and classroom teacher.
- Provide 1:1 support to a student in a general education classroom, specialist classes and/or during recess/lunch under the guidance of certified teachers, Inclusive Education Specialist Teachers and Speech-Language Therapist
- Collaboratively design a modified program of learning supports for an individual student, incorporating a range of instructional strategies
- Attend collaborative planning meetings related to student’s grade level and individual planning
- Implement a modified learning program and supports with an individual student under the guidance of certified teachers, Inclusive Education Specialist Teachers and Speech-Language Therapist
- Monitor, document and report student progress, successes, difficulties and perceived needs to the Inclusive Education Specialist Teachers, Speech-Language Therapist, Director of Student Services and Senior Director of Early Years
- Create an inclusive, welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Inclusive Education Specialist Teachers, Director of Student Services, Elementary Principal or Head of School to support the individualised educational program for the student

- At least experience as a teacher or academic support staff member at a top-tier international school for 3 years
- TEFL, CELTA and/or teaching qualification preferred
- Experience working with students in Elementary School (ages: 6-12 years old) a strong advantage
- The successful candidate must have previous experience facilitating and planning engagement and learning with individual students and small groups.
- Experience in English as an Additional Language or learning support team is preferred.
- They must have an understanding of and commitment to inquiry-based learning and concepts of inclusive education.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate their understanding of the foundational need for holistic student well-being, including related concepts of mental health, school-life balance, the use of positive behavioural supports and psychological safety.
