To support the implementation of activities within the GIZ Green Cluster team, we are seeking a motivated intern based in Phnom Penh. The intern will provide support to the project team in various areas, including administrative tasks and public relations and communication activities.
- Provide communication and coordination support to management teams across all Green Cluster projects.
- Support Advisors on research and development project activities
- Assist in managing photography for events, field visits, and other related activities, including taking photos and organizing digital files.
- Draft social media captions for external communications
- Support in designing materials such as PowerPoint presentations and flyers
- Prepare meeting minutes and reports for supervisors in the preferred language (Khmer or English).
- Provide administrative and logistical support for workshops, training sessions, and other project-related activities.
- Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Gain hands-on experience in the agricultural value chain in an international development project focusing on value chain development

- Bachelor's Degree in Public relations, Design, Communications, Business Administration, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and English are a must.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation for digital media.
- Confident use of the MS Office suite and related programs
- Interest in public relations, media, or content creation, with any prior experience in these areas considered an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in field visits with the project team.
- Strong interest in community development, sustainable agriculture and food systems to contribute to GIZ's vision of sustainable development.

The project “EU-German Cambodia Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems” EU-German CAPSAFE is a co-funded project between the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the team Europe Initiative 1 “Sustainable landscapes, forests and agriculture”. The EU-German CAPSAFE project is one of the projects under the umbrella of the GIZ Cambodia Green Cluster.
The Specific Objective of the project is to improve the sustainability, competitiveness and inclusiveness of cashew nut and pepper with higher local value added.
The project follows a multi-level approach. Output 1 aims at increasing the institutional capacities for improving the national systems on agri-food safety and climate-resilient agriculture, including decent work. Output 2 aims at increasing the profitability of cashew nut and pepper value chains with climate-resilient and sustainable intensification practices, including deforestation-free production. Output 3 aims at increasing the capacities of agribusiness micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and industry associations and federations (IAF) to add value in the pepper and cashew nut value chains in accordance with ASEAN and premium markets, including the EU.
- Support Technical Advisors (TAs) on cashew nut and pepper value chain development activities
- Regular field visits working closely with target Agricultural Cooperatives and Producer Groups to support capacity development and contract farming activities
- Support TAs at the field level in capacity development activities such as training, data collection, technical advisory support, and reporting challenges of production
- Support in organizing training courses or any capacity development activities was necessary both at the provincial level and the community levels
- Support the follow-up of the demo farms progress to ensure proper application of techniques
- Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the TAs
- Gain hands-on experience in the agricultural value chain in an international development project focusing on value chain development
