The project “Building Climate Resilience of Communities in Cambodia’s Protected Landscapes: Biodiversity-Friendly Crop-Livestock Systems for Adaptation (SCALE+)”, implemented by Ministry of Environment (MoE) and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Admin and Finance Intern

Position Summary

The Admin & Finance Intern will assist day to-day office finance and administration, logistics, and procurement support, including but not limited to the SCALE+ project in Cambodia. This position will be based in Phnom Penh.

Duration of work

Working closely with the Finance & Operations team, project team and under the management of the Admin & Finance Specialist and National Project Manager at SCALE+ project.

Duty Station

The incumbent will be based at the Ministry of Environment, with travel to the provinces as required. Transportation costs and Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) for official field assignments will be covered by the project in accordance with project regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with day-to-day financial and administrative operations, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Assist in processing project financial transactions and ensure all supporting documents are complete, properly filed, and comply with project procedures.
  • Provide logistical support for field missions, including preparing DSA requests, arranging transportation, booking accommodation, and coordinating travel logistics.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, consultations, and training events, including venue setup, participant registration, attendance lists, refreshments, meeting materials, and DSA distribution where applicable.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to both the Operations and Technical Teams for project activities and events.
  • Assist in maintaining office inventory and the fixed asset register, and support periodic physical inventory verification.
  • Assist in preparing routine financial, administrative, and procurement reports, spreadsheets, and document tracking records.
  • Maintain both electronic and hard-copy filing systems to ensure project documents are well organized and easily accessible.
  • Support correspondence, document preparation, and other administrative tasks as requested by the project team.
  • Perform other finance, administration, logistics, procurement, and operational duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in In accounting, finance, or other relevant degree
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Available for non-experienced or experienced.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and gain more skills in accounting, procurement, operations, and logistics and in development projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Good in English and Khmer
Soft Skills

Project Assistant Intern

Position Summary

The Project Assistant Intern will provide administrative, operational, and technical support to facilitate the effective implementation of the SCALE+ Project. The intern will work closely with project staff and gain practical experience in project management, coordination, monitoring, and communication.

Duration of work

Working closely with the technical team, finance & operations team, project team and under the management of the National Project Advisor and National Project Manager at SCALE+ project.

Duty Station

The incumbent will be based at the Ministry of Environment, with travel to the provinces as required. Transportation costs and Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) for official field assignments will be covered by the project in accordance with project regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of project meetings, workshops, training sessions, and field activities.
  • Support the preparation of meeting agendas, participant lists, presentation materials, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist in coordinating with project partners, consultants, and relevant stakeholders as requested.
  • Support logistical arrangements for project activities, including venue preparation, travel, accommodation, and procurement requests.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining project files, both electronic and hard copy.
  • Support the preparation of routine correspondence, letters, reports, and other project documents.
  • Assist in tracking project documents and ensuring proper filing in accordance with project procedures.
  • Support project monitoring and evaluation activities by:
  • Entering, updating, and verifying project data;
  • Checking participant attendance lists and supporting documentation;
  • Identifying and recording missing information and assisting with data quality control;
  • Organizing project records, activity reports, and supporting evidence for reporting purposes.
  • Assist in compiling information and documentation required for project progress reports.
  • Assist in documenting project activities through photographs and short activity summaries.
  • Support the collection of success stories, lessons learned, and field information.
  • Assist in organizing project communication materials, including photos, presentations, and publications.
  • Support the preparation of communication materials for internal and external visibility, when required.
  • Participate in field missions to project sites, as required.
  • Assist the project team in coordinating field visits, consultations, training events, and monitoring activities.
  • Support the collection of basic field information and organize supporting documents from field activities.
  • Perform other administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Rural Development, Public Administration, Development Studies, Business Administration, or other related fields
