G2K is seeking an accounting officer to be responsible for supporting daily financial operations. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with financial procedure, and timely reporting to support smooth operation.
This is a diverse role with the need to maintain a pipeline of planned work, but also the ability to be highly responsive to changes in circumstances/ expectations. The role-holder will be expected to lead their area of work with minimal oversight, but will need to work well with others as they will often work alongside colleagues regarding strategy and project planning, and also represent G2K externally on occasion.
The role will require a team work with can-do attitude, a customer-centric mindset, experience and competency in a range of accountancy tools, tax regulations and filing processes.
Typical working hours: Full-time, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (Saturday is required with prior request)
Location: Gateway to Khmer, Gateway House, Street 197, Phnom Penh
- Record daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly tax returns and ensure compliance with Cambodian tax regulations.
- Coordinate annual TOI and ACCAR reporting with the external accounting firm.
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports and quarterly financial forecasts.
- Manage accounts receivable, issue invoices and receipts, and follow up on outstanding student payments.
- Process payroll and prepare staff salary slips.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and filing systems.
- Liaise with banks and support day-to-day financial operations.
- Coordinate procurement, inventory, and fixed asset records.
- Assist management and the Board with budgeting and financial planning.
- Support reception and student registration when required.
- Undertake other administrative duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or related field;
- Master's Degree is preferred
- Experience with accounting skill for 2 years as a minimum
- Strong understanding of both Cash Basis and Accrual Basis Accounting
- Experience preparing Cambodian tax filings
- Proficient in QuickBooks (localized experience is an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
