Accountant – F&B

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong expertise in Cambodian tax compliance for F&B operations, including hands-on experience with ERP and POS systems. The ideal candidate understands restaurant tax risks, daily revenue reconciliation, and GDT requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cambodian Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and file monthly tax returns: VAT, Withholding Tax, Prepayment of Profit Tax (PPT), Tax on Salary (TOS)
- Ensure proper tax invoice issuance and compliance with GDT regulations
- Monitor VAT output from POS vs accounting records
- Prepare supporting schedules for tax audits and GDT inspections
- Liaise directly with the General Department of Taxation (GDT) when required
- Identify tax risks specific to restaurants, bars, and hospitality operations
- Accounting & ERP
- Manage full-set accounting for F&B operations
- Record daily transactions in ERP system
- Maintain accurate general ledger and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports
- Ensure proper configuration and control within ERP system
- POS & Revenue Control
- Reconcile daily POS reports with cash, bank, and card settlements
- Monitor voids, discounts, complimentary items, and wastage
- Investigate discrepancies between POS and ERP
- Support integration between POS and accounting system
- Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Review stock movements and variances
- Ensure supplier invoices match purchase and delivery records

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- Khmer is required
- English is preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Work History:
- Experience in accounting for 3 to 5 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Cambodian tax law and GDT compliance
- Experience in F&B or hospitality accounting preferred
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Experience with restaurant POS reconciliation
- Strong Excel skills
- Khmer required; English is an advantage
- Experience handling GDT tax audits
- Experience with cost accounting in restaurants
- Knowledge of tax planning within Cambodian F&B sector
