Accountant, Account Payable
Position Circumstances

Duration: 4-6 months contract
This position will be based at Chevron (Cambodia) Head Office in Phnom Penh
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests submitted by Business Units (BUs).
- Ensure invoice details, supporting documents, and bank disbursement requests are accurate and compliant.
- Process and record invoices in SAP within established timelines.
- Prepare vendor and employee payments according to payment schedules.
- Support urgent transactions, including utilities, Import tax, cash advances, and other time-sensitive payments.
- Follow up with BU owners on expense submissions and accrual information.
- Prepare accrual schedules and journal entries for month-end closing.
- Process and record accrual entries in SAP upon approval.
- Perform cash collection reconciliation and verify bank denomination reports and charges.
- Prepare journal entries for bank interest income, bank charges, and withholding tax.
- Prepare SAP upload files and support schedules for month-end transactions.
- Reconcile vendor and employee accounts monthly and review aging reports.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding balances and discrepancies.
- Perform quarterly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and prepare supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate reconciliation records for financial reporting and audit purposes.
- Communicate with BUs regarding invoice submissions, payment status, and missing supporting documents.
- Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely processing and month-end closing.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and payment-related issues.
- Support special projects and business initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- English - Good
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant experience would be an advantage.
- Candidate who has or is currently pursuing ACCA accreditation would be an advantage.
- Good written and communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint including macros.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, accountable, proactive and good initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure.
