La Plantation is recognized as an innovative leader and a major player in this sector and manages a remarkable agri-tourism site in the Kampot region of south-west Cambodia. La Plantation markets a range of more than 100 products in its various shops in Cambodia ( on the farm, in kampot, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap), via a network of retailers in the country and for export to more than 40 countries (via distributors). Account Payable and Tax

Position Circumstances

Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Management:
  • Receive, verify, and process all incoming supplier invoices.
  • Ensure invoices meet company policies and have the necessary approvals prior to entry
  • Payment Processing:
  • Prepare payment vouchers and schedules.
  • Execute timely and accurate payments to suppliers and service providers
  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Accurately record financial transactions relating to accounts payable in the accounting system.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both electronic and paper-based.
  • Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile supplier statements regularly to ensure account accuracy.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers promptly.
  • Month-End Closing:
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end accounts payable closing procedures.
  • Compile necessary reports and documentation for financial audits.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Calculate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
  • Stay informed on tax regulation updates and ensure compliance with all tax laws.
  • Communication:
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding payment inquiries or issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial data and ensure smooth operations.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable and tax functions.
  • Implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts payable status and tax obligations.
  • Provide insights and data analysis to management for decision-making.
  • Support and Training:
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff or colleagues as needed.
  • Support the finance team with additional tasks and projects as required.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Work History:
  • Accounts payable and tax accounting (depending on the role) for 2 to 3 years
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero....).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of invoice processing, payment procedures, and reconciliations.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Process invoices accurately, manage vendor payments, and reconcile supplier accounts.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, calculate tax liabilities, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare financial reports.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.
  • Organization: Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and compliance.

Quality Supervisor

Position Summary

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily quality control and food safety activities to ensure that products comply with company specifications, customer requirements, and applicable food safety standards. The position supports the implementation of the Quality Management System and reports quality issues to management.

Department: Quality and Food Safety

Reporting to: Plant Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance and Control
  • Supervise incoming, in-process, and finished product inspections.
  • Verify that production follows approved SOPs and work instructions.
  • Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices during production.
  • Ensure quality records are completed accurately.
  • Verify product release according to established procedures.
  • Escalate quality issues to the Quality Manager or Plant Manager when necessary.
  • Food Safety and Compliance
  • Conduct routine GHP and hygiene inspections.
  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Follow up on corrective actions assigned to the department.
  • Assist during external audits.
  • Ensure monitoring records are completed and verified.
  • Verify CCP and OPRP monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with R&D manager for the improvement process on product quality and new product set up to ensure the food safety and food quality.
  • Technical Issues and Customer Satisfaction
  • Work closely with R&D team to provide technical support in resolving product-related issues during production or after-market feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Sales teams to investigate and address customer complaints or technical concerns promptly.
  • Ensure that product quality, safety, and performance consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise and develop the Quality Control team to ensure accurate inspection, testing, and record keeping.
  • Provide training to production and quality staff on hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain quality records, audit reports, and certificates.
  • Submit regular reports to management regarding product quality, non-conformities, and improvements.
  • Other Duties
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Management consistent with the position and company policies.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field
Work History:
  • Food manufacturing quality management for 3 to 5 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, Organic, and Fair Trade standards.
  • Internal Auditor certification is an advantage.
  • Good command of English.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
