CAMPAS, short for ‘strengthening national biodiversity and forest carbon stock conservation through landscape-based collaborative management of Cambodia’s protected area system as demonstrated in the Eastern Plains Landscape, is a project of collaboration between the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. As its title suggests, the project holds the interconnected aim to improve the sustainability of Cambodia’s national system of protected areas, with the complementary objectives to mainstream biodiversity into production forests and promoting conservation of carbon stocks.
Department of Terrestrial Protected Area Conservation, Eastern Plain Mekong under General Directorate of Administration For Nature Conservation and Protection (GDANCP) is funded by project call “Strengthening national biodiversity and forest carbon stock conservation through landscape-based collaborative management of Cambodia’s Protected Area System as demonstrated in the Eastern Plains Landscape (CAMPAS)” and is currently implementing the CAMPAS project by acting as one among other CAMPAS partners to implement CAMPAS project under supervised by General Secretariat of Sustainable Development (GSSD) Ministry of Environment. Currently, GDANCP-CAMPAS is requiring One National Consultant to develop Training Program for Ranger for a period of 30days. The objective of this short term consultancy is to develop document on Training program needed for rangers for effectiveness and efficiency management of protected areas in Cambodia.
