In 2010, PDI established PopulationDevelopment International - (PDI-),international NGO,implementVillage Development Partnership Project (VDP)selected villagesSoutr NikomChikreng districtsSiem Reap province.  VDPa village-based empowerment program focusingfive key areas:  village institutional development, capacity buildingincome generation, health, environmental conservation,education development. 

PDI- has launchedsecond program calledSocial Enterprise Development Program (SED).  SEDa one-year trainingsupport programNGOsindividual entrepreneursset uprun successful social enterprises. primary purposeto promote financial self-sustainability among NGOsincrease economic activity

As PDI-C continuesexpand its coverage areas, PDI-C seeksqualifiedpassionate individualfillpositionOperation Officer, who will coordinate village-based activitiesthe Village Development Partnership Project.  Operation Officer designsimplements village activities, provides direct capacity buildingthe village committee members, writes routine reports, collects monitoring datadoes basic analysis,contributesother aspectsprogram development.

Duties + Requirements

  Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience with an international and/or domestic NGO or an international aid organization working in or leading rural development projects at the village or commune levels
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of micro-finance, health education, agriculture, and/or basic skills training
  • At least 3 years of experience in work planning, budgeting, managing cash advances for field activities, and collecting village data for monitoring purposes
  • Experience and knowledge in navigating and interacting with potential stakeholders (i.e. government agencies, NGOs, and rural communities)
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking both in English and Khmer languages
  • Competent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and oral presentations
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, efficient, and accustomed to working with new initiatives
  • Current residency in Siem Reap
