Humanitarian Capacity Building Coordinator

Duties

You will work with a small number of selected humanitarian partners in South East Asia (SE) to identify their capacity building priorities and develop capacity building plans
You will support partners to strengthen their humanitarian programmes and prepare for emergencies through capacity building, training, accompaniment, and providing or sourcing specialist technical support
You will design, coordinate and facilitate participatory staff development and peer learning processes for partners
You will identify opportunities for collaboration with other CAFOD programmes, NGOs and key local stakeholders
You will contribute to the learning and direction of CAFOD’s overall humanitarian capacity building programme

Requirements

You should have the skills and experience to work with and build the capacity of local partner organisations/ national NGO’s
You should have demonstrable skills in providing humanitarian support within a variety of contexts including humanitarian programmes, development and complex emergencies
You should have a sound understanding of humanitarian policies, best practice and international humanitarian policy debates and an ability to deliver operational emergency programmes, working in support of community-based organisations
We also expect you to have sound experience of working with, and/or a commitment to humanitarian standards
