Duties + Requirements
Humanitarian Capacity Building Coordinator
 
  Duties
  • You will work with a small number of selected humanitarian partners in South East Asia (SE) to identify their capacity building priorities and develop capacity building plans
  • You will support partners to strengthen their humanitarian programmes and prepare for emergencies through capacity building, training, accompaniment, and providing or sourcing specialist technical support
  • You will design, coordinate and facilitate participatory staff development and peer learning processes for partners
  • You will identify opportunities for collaboration with other CAFOD programmes, NGOs and key local stakeholders
  • You will contribute to the learning and direction of CAFOD’s overall humanitarian capacity building programme
  Requirements
  • You should have the skills and experience to work with and build the capacity of local partner organisations/ national NGO’s
  • You should have demonstrable skills in providing humanitarian support within a variety of contexts including humanitarian programmes, development and complex emergencies
  • You should have a sound understanding of humanitarian policies, best practice and international humanitarian policy debates and an ability to deliver operational emergency programmes, working in support of community-based organisations
  • We also expect you to have sound experience of working with, and/or a commitment to humanitarian standards
