Field Agent
Duties
- Visit the farmer 3 times per week
- Collect information on his field
- What is happening
- Especially what is not going according to schedule
- Provide farmer with seeds, fertilizer, tools
- Give instructions to farmer for the next days
- Teach techniques to farmer when he needs
- When there is a problem, find a solution and provide it to the farmer
- Solution found himself or with Team Leader
- Providing in less than 1 day
- Follow up very closely after
- Give report to company
- Paper report when we have someone to do data input
- Data input themselves if not
- Let Team Leader know as soon as something is not going according to schedule
- Look for new farmers if Team Leader says that we can accept more
- Advertise in the village when the agent goes there
- Check the field and the motivation of interested farmers
- Explain them the company, the way we work, etc
- Coordinate with Team Leader to ask when the new farmer can start
- Sign the contract, bring the tools, etc
- Give ideas and suggestions to Team Leader for company on
- How to work with farmers
- Agricultural techniques
- Solving problems
- Anything
Requirements
- BA in Agriculture or Agronomy
- At least 6 months experience in the related field
- Be able to communicate quite well in English
- Reliable, hardworking with get-it-done attitude
- Committed to difficult working condition
- Willing to travel a lot with his/her motor under the sun and rain
- Be able to work under pressure
