Duties + Requirements

Media Training Assistant

Duties

Assist Media Officer in organizing the media training/workshops and ensure its effective output
Assist in facilitating the training/workshops
Assist in writing, editing or collecting articles from Youth Networks for info sharing purpose and coordinate the publication and distribution EICs
Work with Media Officer to produce posters or leaflets for public display
Compile, design YCC e-newsletters and distribute them electronically
Produce profile features of the successful story of youth networks
Design or develop training materials on Citizen’s Journalism if it is deemed require
Develop training agenda and appropriate methodologies for delivering an effective training
Review the articles submitted by networks follow up with the graduates; provide technical assistance when appropriate
Connect the graduates to local or international media agencies to publish some selected articles where possible
Manage social networking accounts such as Facebook and Twitter to ensure that fans and followers are informed of the work of YCC
Write progress reports concerning media and communication activities
Perform other tasks when required

Requirements

BA in Media, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or other relevant fields
Have at least one year experience working in any media related project, particularly in the field of Citizen Journalism training.
Good command of English language and communication skills
Knowledge of the process for production of media tools
Familiar with Content Management System (CMS)
Interest in working young people and promoting youth participation in civic activities
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet and Email. Adobe Photoshop and AdobeInDesign are preferred.
Cambodian nationality between 20-35 years old preferred as YCC is a youth centered organization

Gross Salary Range: USD150 – USD175 per month with some other benefits
