Accountant

Duties

Maintains books of accounts
Classify transactions (income and expenditures) and entries in the finance voucher form and other sources of documents
Post (encode) transactions to books of entries using the Quick Book accounting software
Prepares financial statements such as balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow using spread sheet (excel) format.
Keep track of actual expenses per project vis-à-vis approved budget and provide updates to each program/project unit
Assist the Administrator in handling the petty cash fund
Maintains file copy of appropriate reports, schedules and other related documents
Files documents properly as classified according to fund / project / donor
Performs other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager

Requirements

Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance and other related disciples
Must have at least 6-month experience in administration, bookkeeping or accounting
Must have at least 2-year experience in translation
Accurate recording and documentation skills
Ability to establish and maintain work relations in a team environment
Good command of Khmer and English (both written and spoken)
Computer literate with good technical skills on spread sheet (MS Excel) program
Willing to work with Indigenous communities in Kratie and Stung Treng provinces
Able to travel by motor to remote target areas of CED
